With so many trucks being stolen. Ravelco is basically a kill switch for less than $1000. Takes maybe 10 seconds to put on/remove before leaving your car.

I had one in my old F350, they definitely were the most reputable anti theft when I put it in, as long as you remember to pull the plug every time

i agree with this.

Ravelco is the only way. My brother in law had is brand new TRX stolen out of his driveway last year.

There is a whole crew of people stealing newer trucks now. They either chop them, vin swap and sell, or they sell them on striker sites. There is a whole facebook group specifically for this.

I know you guys are talking about the keys being in a farady box or whatever but it doesnt matter. They can get into the car and start it and drive away without the key being anywhere near the car.

Damn sorry to hear. It’s ridiculous that they can’t track it with the equipment it has. I bet if you were a terrorist they could find it real quick. No chance you left an iPad, computer or some device in it?

Was the TRX orange? They've got one on that FB page lol.

It boggles my mind that a page like that is able to exist. Can LE not find any of these guys?

It was white actually lol.

We found the kid on instagram that stole it. Some mexican cartel looking kid lots of pictures with guns and drugs etc. He was posting pictures of the truck on his page, sent it to LE and they didnt do anything. Basically said good luck. We tried to get it back posing as a buyer but the thieves caught onto it and never saw it again.

There are other private groups on FB with thousands of followers. Its a huge thing here in los angeles.

Wait these are all stolen trying to be sold? What does “no politics” mean?

Yes all stolen. Basically saying they dont want any drama. And the whole "if you know you know" thing basically implies they are all stolen. There are some serious high dollar cars on there. I have seen lambos, ferraris, brand new fully modified F450s, etc. You name it they have it.

Sorry to hear about this!

Thieves got my F350 Dually and Raptor Toyhauler in 2020. They found the F350 dumped on the side of the road semi-stripped about 1 week later. The Raptor has never been found. I'm guessing they moved it into a backyard and somebody's grandma is living in it, or it is a Meth Lab now ??? Either way I don't want it back!!!

Sorry to hear this, I hope they catch the sh*tbags.

Onstar subscription you can track it and locate it, ( I know guys have talked about it. Wife's car has a current subscription) also a wired in tracker or a portable one, I have both. and use them regularly,.

Better than an alarm, Your neighbor just proved that.

It had a weatherguard toolbox full. 2 gear bags full of kids riding gear in back seat. And 5 drum liners full of clothes in bed I was going to donate.

Driving around Wilmington looking. The neighbor on vehicle theft task force said they will park it. Make sure its not being tracked. Vin swap and sell it.

Sheriff said atleast 1 a night stolen. Said he has had 3 new Dodge trucks get reported in the last week. Neighbor across the way just told me the house next door there car stolen last month.
… When I lived aboard down by the twin draw bridges… My 70 Torino convertible was stolen… I drove up and down every street in Wilmington looking for it… And many streets in Long Beach… I figured out who the thief was … And miraculously the car reappeared in a market parking lot in Long Beach… 🤷🏽‍♀️

That Blows...
Lojack works..
Mothers Day 2008 had my 2005 F250 stolen the night before.
CHP got a hit cruising the 5 FWY. Tracked it down in East LA somewhere.
They staked it out for another day. No activity. Reclaimed it Friday, Had it towed to Ford dealer.
Door lock and ignition lock punched out. And all the docs and owners manuel gone.
They turn those in for proof and let the truck sit for several before going and getting it.
Cop said at the time they wind up in Mexico with a Cartel.

It sure does suck. When my shop truck was stolen a couple years back my neighbors cams caught the whole thing. I got to watch the entire process and they weren't masked either.

I got the truck back 4 days later because it blew a transmission cooler line in the same general area as my shop they stole it from. It had gas receipts in the truck from Bell so it was getting around.

Then Mercury took control and a whole different form of betrayal began. Said it needs to be inspected and then repaired. They ended up sending it through CADE Auction. It came back to me with different rims and wheels after they had it for two months. Caliber Collision did a High School first timer repairs to the truck because Mercury apparently had a budget.

The entire process sucks. Mercury Commercial real shady and I still have them because of their Employees Non-Owned auto policy portion is reasonable.

Could it be the guy you have been chasing around with the face tattoo ?
Maybe someone he knows. But he hasn't been seen stealing any cars. I probably should of staid out of it. He was in a gated community this morning on video. Just up the hill from me. I got a message about him last night around 7. But I was so mad I didn't go. I would of shot him. Barely slept worrying about my 2 vehicles in my driveway last night.

So my ring cameras failed big time. 4 cameras on the truck. None picked up the motion. 1 didn't record anything for hours. 1 was 30 minutes. Another missed the 2 minutes that would of showed the window smashed. The other was 5 minutes missing. My cousin is going to set me up with some better cameras.

My neighbor at the end of the block. His nest camera worked a lot better. But it's far from the street. It showed my truck going by at 603. My last time stamp of truck in my driveway was 602. So pretty much gone in a minute.

One thing i have noticed when our block is getting hit, its always 5am to 6am, guess they figure people are heading to work and don't bother looking out window when they hear something. The ring cameras are great but really, they only get you more pissed as you actually watch your shit get stolen and never really seen it help with info yet.

Yeah. The neighbor down the street truck leaves 2 minutes before and truck across the street few minutes after. So 3 trucks leaving the block within 5 minutes of each other.

I went to a few locations today that were sent to me. Different people mentioned and were all within 10 minutes of each other. South Central.

Also went by a few chop shops in Wilmington.

It's gone.

Got my gate and fence designed in my head. Should of done it when I bought the house. Almost every house I went by in the hood Today had 1. I will be the first on my block.

I feel like a scene from the movie Heat should happen when one of these thieves steals something would bring light to the situation. Not sure how anyone lives in CA anymore with this type of shit going on daily.

I'm going to play devils advocate here. You guys live in California and are constantly getting jacked of your shit. There's zero repercussions for the criminals. You should prepare yourselves because you're basically on your own. If I was visiting California (which I have absolutely zero desire to do) I wouldn't leave anything of value in my vehicle.

I actually feel sorry for you guys, one of the most innovative states in the country has become a cesspool of anarchy. There's a reason people are leaving by the droves. When more of you guys leave don't walk into wherever you leave and say, "well in Cali we did it this way." I hear this bullshit all of the time, but I always say "well if it was so good then go the fuck back."

On the App Next door you would be surprised how many car break ins and thefts are reported, with the next sentence being " We never do this...... BUT my son, husband, wife, left the door unlocked, or left his back pack in the front seat or laptop or cell phone. they never do this but forgot"

Your right Ca has become a Sh*t hole for this kind of stuff, but don't invite them in.

I know this does not apply to the OP in this case.

I fucked up leaving stuff in the truck. But my little house had no room. The riding gear was going to the river pad.

I spent 3 hours today driving through the hoods and 100% shit hole is the way to describe it. Kids tagging at 1113 am in broad daylight. Chop shops running like it's normal business operations. The ghetto has blown up in size. Half the businesses were vacant and numerous commercial buildings. No way to conduct business there anymore without getting jacked daily.

I am at my house in the hood now. My guys stay here. It's safer here than in the good areas. Debating selling my other house and moving back. Got that feeling of why the fuck am I working so hard when the thieves have no repercussions.

Around my area they are jumping gated driveways in high end houses and checking door handles, not jacking cars, but ransacking stuff left behind a "secure gate" by people thinking they are safe. It sucks, I'm fortunate, Gates with the garage and cars stored behind a gate in the back yard, But it won't stop someone determined.

Sorry about the truck.

At this house I have a 6' solid steel gate and block wall all the way around. 2 German Shepherds in the yard. Most secure parking I have. My guys are pulling fuses now in there work truck in driveway. Need to ad a rolling front gate here also. Going to move the dump trailer tomorrow so it will fit behind gate with dogs.

Nic. It sounds like you live in a fucking third world country.

Have you thought about moving?
It's everywhere here in the Southbay. Leaving ca I would have to start over. The thieves come to the good areas to steal. My area is nice but getting hit regularly by the outsiders.

My neighbor just told me his framer had his truck stolen out of Manhattan Beach. Gardner told me he has had his tools stolen out his van twice there as well.

My cousin in pv his neighbor new raptor stolen out his driveway.

I should of pulled the trigger sooner on the front gates. I honestly was so worried about my work rigs I never thought they would take my personal truck.

Fuel and or ecu fuses, And maybe block the trailer with a disabled truck.

The dump trailer can go further back in the yard. Truck will go where trailer is. They park a regular truck in front of Gate at night.

I never had a problem there though. Always had 2 German Shepherds there. There is 3 parking spots in front of the gate that could be hit easily.

It will slow them down and allow time for you to do your thing
The circled end is hollow, a 13/16 close end end wrench and it's bent out of the way and on the ground in about 5sec, buddies truck got stolen that way except they were nice enough to lean it against the front door so when he opened the front door to leave it fell into the house.
