Not supposedly . He went up the track to scare the kid and ran over him killing the driver Instantly. The video showed the kid got shot out of those back tires
like a rag doll !

Tony and the kid had a problem on the track, after the incident on the track on a yellow flag. The kid exited his car at the top of the track to point out stewart, obviously
pissed off. Yellow flag means you stay at the bottom of the track, Stewart at he bottom track sees the kid making gestures, than drives up the track, tries to spray him with dirt and getting to close runs him over for no reason. The video shows Stewart going up the track, gassing the car as he gets close to the kid to intimidate him.
If you watch the vid....There is no way Tony should have gone up the track on a yellow. It was really a chicken shit move for a professional driver to do.

Also the close up vid on U- tube of the accident is to close to see him turn up the track....The orig footage shows a long shot of Tonys car turning up the track .

Are you planning on pointing out the kid was high or will we be leaving that out of the conversation?

Also will we mention drivers are instructed to remain in their cars unless safe to do so?


On the scale of fuck around and find out the kid excelled.

No offense but you have no idea what your talking about nor do you know anything about sprint cars and what exactly they’re doing during the caution.

Tony definitely collided with a stoned driver who exited his car on the track during a caution. This much we can agree on.

We all know Tony should have put on the brakes, put his foot in the clutch and come to a full and complete stop, idling down low. When the green was flown, just side-stepped the clutch and dropped the hammer🤣

Nevermind the driver, stoned or not, that unstrapped his harnesses and restraints, exited his chromoly cage, and walked across the track...with cars still running caution.

The kid broke the rules, got out of his car, jumped in front of tony, at last second tony tried to avoid him hitting throttle. Don't think we need to question his car control...

4 different diameter tires, 2 spinning the same rpm, short wheelbase and big power...just those factors most can't understand. Add in the concept of not being able to disengage the driveline under load, it's a whole different beast.

The family of the deceased were local racers. They petitioned the local sherif to bring Stewart up on charges. A grand jury took less than an hour in deliberations, and declined to press charges.
The jury was not told about the young man's toxicology report.
The family settled on a wrongful death civil suit. They claimed their lawyers pressured them to take it.

All of the above, plus the track has significant banking. Ward was wearing a black firesuit, and the track, like most small dirt venues, was poorly lit. Add the fact that the speed of the field under yellow was around 50 MPH, or 73 feet per second.

Ward's stupidity killed him, not Tony Stewart.

He had THC in system. But not enough to be conspired impaired. From results I’ve read. But he isn’t tony. So run with it.

Again. Don’t have to seen enough in car videos of every other driver. And tony being a tough guy. Gonna spray him with some dirt. And it went bad. He killed that kid.

How many times has tony exited his nascar under green, Ten times, or more....He threw his helmet at the windshield of another race car as it drove by him standing
on the track. The kid should not have been run over by a professional race car driver. Kid didn't even throw anything,
