Crushed at 2400 ft. Year later found."IF", it indeed meets this fate, it will be the same as a Navy Submarine, "The Thresher" in 1963.

This is good info from a reporter that went on it. If accurate it’s the only one that can go down there.
It's designed to operate at the depth of the bottom... Shouldn't be crushed.
That said, one tiny little imperfection in a piece of glass, and the pressure would be an instant death.
If the submarine was compromised they never felt a thing. It would be instantaneous death.
Worse would be if it lost power and sunk to the sea floor. Pretty sure you would slowly die of hypothermia.
The sub is a crushed blob on the ocean floor, and the occupants didn't suffer. It was instantaneous.
That’s my guess is that it imploded and what a shitty way to go. Hope they find them safe and I’m wrong….
Jesus..... that was the CEO in that video. Why in the hell would ANYBODY want to go in that thing? It's too deep for windows so what the difference than driving a remote sub down there and watching the video?
The debris would have been incinerated, at least inside the submersibleStill slight chance could end well. If the damage described you would think there would be debris on surface by now.

Not sure if this guy is legit or not, but I have been reading what he says on twitter about this situation. If it was prop fouled, or otherwise caught up in a fishing net, how deep would something like that occur? Then, would it struggle to maintain neutral buoyancy, or sink? Also curious as to how far sonar type waves can travel, and if the water pressure itself would effect it at those depths.
1300 was its max depth, so not crushing until double. Faulty silver brazing, and ice forming over the psi release valve to blow.Crushed at 2400 ft. Year later found.
Play your Celine Dion CD in the POS on the way to the bar to get you in the moodAs horrible as the concept is...this made me laugh. Then I thought to myself, "Damn, how gay am I for knowing what he's talking about?"
Wanna go out for Bud Lights later?
Same principle here….it’s all about pressure differentialWouldn't have felt a thing, they wouldn't have even known something went wrong. But still a terrifying way to go just reading it.

I wonder if my next life insurance renewal is going to have another 'exclusion' added. There is a pile of life insurance fixing to be paid out.☹
Wouldn’t the waiver that was signed also release the life insurance policy? There is a pile of life insurance fixing to be paid out.☹

If recovered they are likely to find their complete bodies inside their own hat.Regardless of the outcome, it blows my mind that people would pay 250k let alone go for free to get in this thing and travel to the bottom of the ocean knowing that it was built with random parts from "Camping World" and "off the shelf" components being controlled by a game controller, the valves even marked with tape and a sharpie. In the video the builder was actually laughing at how the thing was slapped together. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
It weighs 23,000 lbs, unless it breaks apart, whatever is in it, stays in it on the bottom of the ocean forever. Fish food......What makes you feel, if something tragic happened that any debris would Float Up?
I have a question… who’s paying the Coast Guard to rescue these “people” who made a choice to go 11,500 deep?

Wife and I did an Atlantis Submarine in Kona to around 100', that was really coolI’ve been on an unforgettable ocean adventure on a submarine named the USS Nautilus operated by Nautical Exploration and Marine Observation Institute (N.E.M.O.). Once as a kid we ventured 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and again as an adult diving in the deep to find a missing clown fish. The cost of my ticket was cheaper than this current adventure but living in SoCal and getting the SoCal resident discount made it possible.
I kind of know how these people feel being inside that steel coffin.
It may be too soon but that harbor freight reference was savageI’ve gone down a submarine rabbit hole lol. I can’t believe our US Navy subs can only go down to roughly 1,000ft. And these guys took a harbor freight sub 11x that.
You realize that my captin was Mickey Mouse.Wife and I did an Atlantis Submarine in Kona to around 100', that was really cool
Yes, being an area resident I dived to the depths on the Nautilus as a child when it was new attraction. Years later I worked with an older Journeyman Electrician who held a rating as an underwater electrician and had done worked at the dangerous depths that sub descended to.You realize that my captin was Mickey Mouse.
This seems like a better option for that sub experiance. 100' is a good depth with ocean life being in your porthole. Plus, you can survive if there is a problem at that depth.Wife and I did an Atlantis Submarine in Kona to around 100', that was really cool
If you were one of the passengers sitting at the bottom of the ocean hoping to be rescued, but probably thinking you are not going to make it and the passenger sitting next to you is a chick, would you ask for a BJ?
Look how tight that seating arrangement is. One person panics and they’d be snuffed out immediately.Just thinking out loud……….
I wonder how much longer the air would last if I were to euthanize my other 4 passengers?
Desperate times call for desperate measures! Lol
I am thinking the air would now last 4 times longer.
