No, but you are justifying it and chalking it up to business as usual. I'd be FURIOUS if cops were called to my house cause my kid played with a toy someone didn't feel comfortable with yet was nothing wrong with the toy itself.
Not only should there be NO punishment to the child from the school (this is unchartered water for everybody including parents trying to figure out how to make this bullshit work), the teacher and SRO should publicly apologize to the kid for scaring the ever loving shit out of him for playing with his own toy.
But that's the problem. They won't. They will defend as if they are protecting the boy and his classmates and all. Yet every common sense loving person in this world knows there is really nothing wrong with what he did except get a little distracted during down time.
The schools rules ends at my property line (figure of speech since I live in an apartment at this time). From there, the law of the land and proper human decency and age appropriate behavior is all that is tolerated. Nobody dictates any further.

Amen.
Would not surprise me to see them use this example as a reason to EXPAND their reach...you know...to protect kids in their own homes.
There is just something about this whole deal that infuriates me even more than my usual political rants.
Seriously...there is nothing ok about this shit.
ESPECIALLY when we step back and remember that it’s happening FOR NO REASON AT ALL...
We are arguing the details of an entirely falsely created situation based SOLELY on over reach and bullshit.
