126 mile rip session in Shadow with my brother & 3 buds from Phoenix at day break thru back coves, home for breakfast & shower. Loaded up 7 buds on cruiser, grabbed lunch @ LarryWood on the Lake & sent them off to Springfield Airport. My liver needs a break = great times with family & friends

Had 14lbs during two, prefish days. 13lbs won the championship this year. We had close to 12lbs. Good enough for 4th place in the Championship and good enough for a check to cash on Monday. We ran 100 miles wfo with 16 gallons of fuel.

Miss the Skater? Or the Shadow just a different kind of fun?

We will ALWAYS miss that Skater. It was the right time to sell it, especially considering what we got for it. The Shadow is a blast & a great cruiser. I'm still very cautious with it. The chine walk is freaky to me. We hope to end up with another Skater someday, probably bigger than our 308, but a 24 with a big single outboard is super intriguing.

Thanks, that's interesting to hear.

What do you think of the Tuff 28 Superleggera, lake p.a.l.?

A nice compromise between the 24' single outboard and Skater? Or too compromised (expensive, not capable enough)?

Those 28' Tuff's are gorgeous. I've never been in one so I can't compare it with a 24 Skater with single OB. F14 had a 24 Skater with 300XS and it was a beast in rough water for a 24' boat. No chance our 21 Shadow would even come close to hangin with a 24 Skater. I really miss having true cat. I'd absolutely LOVE to see any 24-28' single OB v hull run against a 24 Skater with identical power in rough water.

Spent a day & half with friends at rental house just off Table Rock lake west of Branson, Mizzura. Went for lunch cruise yesterday on Showboat Branson on Table Rock. It was a blast. I'm not a show guy but it was entertaining. Then hit Top of the Rock for golf cart tour, museum tour, etc. Top of the Rock was built & owned by Johnny Morris that owns Bass Pro Shops. Its beyond EPIC!!!!

A Chaudron might do pretty well?

Chaudron is a great looking boat & I've heard they ride nice. I have almost no knowledge of any of the V hulls, lots of learning to do.
