Headed for home after a week with the Bully. I have to go home or may die from exhaustion. We were running’ a muck for days! No wives..new boats, great water, great friends. Going back to Havasu in a few weeks for more quality boating.
As we say in Church, if it ain’t filet, it’s hamburger.

Bully & Rev,
Luv to hear your reviews on the DCB & Liberator. I know you guys have owned & driven a TON of performance boats. Are you happy with 300 on Lib or wish you woulda gone with more hp? Both boats look great

The Liberator with the 300R runs nice. Nice holeshot , strong mid range, and respectable top end.
As all tunnels are weight sensitive, this boat is no different. Having no passengers and light fuel, top end speed can increase to 109 mph. Full of fuel, 30 pitch signature, 2 big guys is about 90 mph. So, prop selection, weight load and water conditions can vary speed 15-20 mph.
The Liberator feels very solid, nice ergonomics, easy to load and unload. She also is a sexy lil bitch.

Careful what you wish for......
Better be ready to lay down a ton of miles & rarely sit still.
That's what I've heard. I'm sure he already has more hours and miles on his than I do on mine.

Bully, looking forward to getting together wth you on the water soon! View attachment 1368118
Absolutely, let’s get together. Obviously, I loved your color combination enough to build the same colors.( I saw one he did a couple years ago identical and just perfect. )Very happy with the boat. Especially happy with the wind deflectors I put on it.

I love the DCB. Gives me all the performance feel with tons of luxury we’re not used to. Over the top fit and finish. I have to say they really nailed it with this thing. Huge cockpit, phenomenal ride all the bells and whistles and still gives you the awesome performance feel at speed under 100.

I love that it gives me that charge hundred miles an hour. It’s a bummer to have to go 110 or 120 to get the feeling.

The DCB replaced the Nordic 35SS, Bully?

It replaced the DW and Nordic.

Yesterday was spring harbor hop, opening wkend at LOTO. Weather was perfect, mid 70s. Rode with neighbors on their 25 toon & had a blast. It's a poker run for all boats. 1 girl with us got a full house, hopefully she won some $$$$
Big difference between a 36 Doug Wright & 36 Skater when they are side by side

Just ordered remanufactured complete lower unit for the lil Checkmate we got from BlowMe. Looking forward to getting it going. HST4ME has a few ideas for the Checkmate we may need to do. She won't be fast with the 115 but it will make wife super happy for now. View attachment 1371003

Sadly the boating world lost Bill last night. His drag boat looked like it blew over. Stoker2001 was great friends with him. Very sorry for your loss. I was lucky enough to hang & run with Bill a handful of times. Got to "pit" for him a few summers ago when he raced out here at Lucas.
Godspeed Bill
His passion for boating will be missed.

When I read your message last night I knew something was afuck. Bill was a good dude, had the pleasure of meeting him a few years back. RIP and condolences to his family.

2 deaths in the drag boat community in a month is a kick in the dick!

Godspeed to our Church member Bill E…a great friend, and a hard core boater. We will miss him in formation…we will miss him always. View attachment 1377575
The passion Bill had for boating was VERY impressive. He absolutely LOVED being on the water in whatever boat. Wish I had a chance to boat with him more. Thankful for the times I got with him. Quiet, soft spoken, humble, great man
