It has been a subject of much anticipation among most of my friends, wondering when the new Bullhead Bully would be complete, and how it would run! Well I'm happy to report that Nordic has finished the boat! There are several minor changes to the boat that we will go over when we feature it, but the first of the main changes was the two large Simrad's that were integrated into the dash. This is again a testament to Nordic and their "Never say No" attitude when it comes to being a true "Custom Builder."

The second major difference comes in a layup that is 900 lbs lighter then the previous boat! Again I will get into the details of that when we do a full write up and shoot on the new "Bully" as Summer begins.

In the meantime though the best the original Nordic 28SS Bully ran was a top speed of 126 MPH. That is an impressive feat in itself and puts it in the top two or three fastest Twin 400 boats ever built.

The new boat definitely lives up to it's name though, with putting up 125MPH on the Rev Limiter on it's first time out! To be clear that wasn't done at "Fight Weight" but rather with three guys in the boat and fuel on a set of 34 Cleavers! The boat should pull 36's without a problem!

The currently plan is to take the boat out and run it again this coming weekend with the new 36's he just got in! I'd like to postpone that a minute and borrow the boat for the boat show this weekend. I think it would be kind of cool to have what I'm betting will be the fastest 400 boat out there for the booth. We will see if I can talk him into it or not. Overall though I think it's safe to say I"m not the only one excited to see what the final numbers come in at! I don't want to jinx it by making a guess, but will it pull the "coveted" 1-0?

This boat looks quite a bit smaller than the other boats running the 400s. DW 32 and DCB M boat. Nice boat.

We saw it when MM and I were up a month ago. It looked like they were completing the helm mods at the time. The green/white 28SS was also there, my wife and I are in love with them.

Dave it was really awesome Getting the opportunity to do over what I did in 2014 with everything I learned between then and now. And everyone at Nordic was extremely helpful and accommodating on every change. They went so far out of the box to make this truly a much better boat and much different boat. Had a glance most people can’t tell the difference. But once you get in see the dash then drive it and feel the difference. It’s truly a huge change from the other boat. Accelerates better turns better all-around blast to drive.

When I put it in the water Sunday morning it took me about 10 minutes just figure out where to find things. I had no idea where any settings were everything was seat of the pants. After about 30 minutes I had a pretty good idea. After an hour and a half we were like old friends.

I was blown away while running at 120; I trimmed down a touch ( slightly negative trim ) and it JUMPED straight to 125. I found the bubble and the transom released ( Steve saw a 126 flash on the screen but recall says 125 ). The old Bully never did that (released). It took me 6 hours by myself and low weight to figure out how to hit 126 in the old Bully and big props. This boat shot straight there with 34s 700lbs of people , spare bravos, anchor, tools and 400lbs of fuel.....

It’s a perfect ultra reliable adrenaline missile.

Now to see what she has.....I have my thoughts and think I know where it’ll top out. I have quite a few things I’m going to test and try....VERY SOON. I need to know. A few other people want to know as well. LOL. Everyone will know it as “ THE BULLY “
But my German heritage is giving it a special name.

A lot of my friends call me Rocket Ass. ( I have no idea why ) So for fun I checked the translation, it’s one word.
RACKTENARSH. Love it !!! It fits perfect.

THANK YOU TEAM NORDIC !!!!! No can’t and won’t are not in there vocabulary.

Conservative guess is upper 120’s. Hoping for 1-0 Mark. If he gets it then it’s the fastest stock twin 400 boat in the world to my knowledge.

Are the 400 sporty's still a 1.62 ratio?

If so...10% slip on the first time out aint bad!

10% would be horrible! All of these 400 boats are running single digit or low single digits slip.

I’m at 3% slip. That’s about as good as it’s going to get.

You aren't allowed to jinx it with the 3.. If it even puts the number up even then it is the fastest!

I was thinking about the overall size like E-Ticket compared to other 28ft boats. E-Ticket is a much larger boat than most other 28s. I was looking at a friends new DW 32 and it is tall and very wide. It looks and feels like the wide 32 Skaters.

Looks like a nice thing engine hot rod with reliable engines. Looks like the future of HP boating.

If it'll do 129 on that water there is 3-4 more to go.

Eight hundred horsepower driving a twenty eight foot hull...

What a combination. Enjoy your new ride, it's a beauty.

a bit of seat time....some balls growth cream, and some prop work....I don't see that -4- is too far away if it ran 129 on glass water. That's a beast.

Never really liked the looks of the "Blenders" on the back of boats, but this one is very appealing. Nicely done!

I agree. Jerry May is the best. Boat goes faster when he’s in it.
Running speed passes by yourself is fine. But having a second person to bounce ideas off of really helps. Especially one with his wealth of knowledge.

Agreed. But there’s one minor problem for me. I have a strong suspicion the “NEW” motors will not come with a 3+2 warranty option. Probably not for a couple years anyway until they get the bugs out.... no different then the introduction of the 300XS or the 400R , They kept adding more years in the factory stock warranty as the model got older and proven.

When I ordered my 2015 28SS I had the option of going 400R I went 300xs because a one year warranty wasn’t gonna cut it for me. And once the factory 3+2 year warranty 400 hit I was on board.

CONGRATS TO PAUL (Bullhead Bully) and the Team at Nordic Boats! They have produced the first boat with stock twin 400's to attain the coveted 130 MPH mark! The cool thing, there's still more left in it! (Look at the RPM)

This is going to have to be a teaser for now, until we get more pics of the boat and more onboard footage!
