Jeezus @bonesfab. Love it. That green one is killer.

I never liked the Trail 90. It always looked like a moped to me.

I never had a trail 70... but my neighbor had two. 😁😁

We had a red CT70 3 speed automatic loved it can remember having to push start it when it was due for a tune up always wanted the gold one.

I started working at a gas station when i was 12 saved my money and bought a brand new Honda XR75 paid $525.00 out the door it was a red one before that they were grey/silver.

Stupid question maybe but will the suspension be set up for an adult?
if so, let’s all pitch in and get one for H20Toie
Does anything off road come perfect? No, you just need to buy 15k worth of extra to make this bike perfect!

I’ve got one of these. My brother gave it to my son when he turned 5. He rode the compression right out of it. This one went for $5,300 on bat😲.

73-Grey and Red, 74-All grey, 75/76-Red and Black, 77/78 All red, 78 having black hubs. That's it..

1973.. They're worth a lot of money and they are pretty rare now.

Here's is my BIL and me riding on our annual 4th of July cruise around the neighborhood. He just got his new to him 73 running and me on my 78.. Good times.

I sure had a bunch of fun riding around Echo Lodge, out back at the dump, and over the sand hill to Big Bend for ice cream.

Thats the front row at Echo near the entrance.

1976. I was 10. XR75 was my best friend back in those days.

I had a 73 Grey-Red (pictured above)

I was 9 when I got it. I started with the Honda 50 at 4. Finally got big enough for the CT70. My dad actually didn’t buy the 50 and 70 for my brother and I. He purchased those as pit cruisers for boat races and Mx races. The XR75 was for me! Lol

Yeah, the Ct70 wasn't so small and was a challenge for little guys, I remember throwing my leg over the frame then once i got going I'd get up on the seat and be on my way. I was bummed that I got stuck with the CT70 for so long, I rode that mini bike track at Dunes forever. My Dad really should've got me a YZ80, RM80, CR80, KX80 etc.. I would've done well. But I had my brothers hand me down after the CT 1974 XR70..

When does the ride review come out?

LoL

I love the thing.. It's much bigger than the CT70. More suspension, bigger wheels and much wider. I can carve the canyons pretty good with the power coming from the fire breathing 124cc EFI monster. The MPG is 106.7, this is awesome. My only real complaint is the Semi auto 4 speed transmission, really wished it was a 5 speed manual, but beggars can't be choosers. Overall it's a total blast for me and has a special place in my heart. I might be able to squeeze out a couple more HP with an aftermarket airbox, exhaust and tune.

Prices will come down eventually.. I paid invoice plus tax and license. $4588 OTD.. I get only one at this price since I'm close friends with the owner of one of the largest dealerships in the country. So, I got the bro deal. Otherwise, I was gonna wait it out. Just not enough inventory right now to justify dealers giving them away.

My first ride was on a classmates CT 70, and I was hooked. Next bike was a Honda XR75, and rode it for two years. All my riding was in urban areas. The loud bikes brought the cops, so you always had to be on the move, or they’d find you.

Im looking at the KTM e bike, to replace my XR75 of childhood years. If they can’t hear you, chances are they’ll think you‘re a bicycle, and if you stay on the move, you’ll get to run those urban trails again.😜

I had one and loved simply riding it around the neighborhood.
The thing that went wrong with it was the Mickey Rooney carb rotted out. Dealer parts dept was no help. Dumb luck and damned if their wasn't a Mikuni Carb warehouse minutes away in Northridge. They had it.

Are the trail 110s worth anything like the 70s? My wifes grandfather has one sitting in a shed that's in pretty rough shape the we need to get rid of. Trying to clear the house out to sell but not a clue what these are worth?

If it’s all original, the parts are probably what will bring the cash. Especially if you can sort through what you got and can identify the hard to find original parts.

Very cool. I tried to buy a Monkey during covid but mark up's were insane. I bet this is probably the same engine as the grom so maybe you can swap the trans from that over. Grom has been out for ever so parts would be easy to find if it's bolt on.

In our travels if we come across a Honda Dealer and they have one at MSRP we'll grab it.

Darn 72CC old school verses 125CC for the new ones they must hall ass. I think my old one would run about 47-49 mph.

My first race bike was a tricked out XR-75, bought it from Harbor city Honda, the guys who owned the place built it for his kid who raced, he was fast and was switching to a Yami, once you got it started (seems like about 30 minutes) it was great, first race on it was escape country, Jeff ward was the kid everyone looked up to then, as he hauled ass on that track.

So I found a guy "willing" to sell me his CT70.... he has had it for 53 years..... it has 132 miles on it.... Pics look amazing and I'd love to own it ... any guess what it is worth?
5k? I'm not going to get stupid with way overpaying but seems to be a barn find... with no reproduction parts on it.

Need to see a pic and we will be able to tell you. Not just for condition but year, color and configuration.

Casings look a little odd for use , but I can have that vapor blasted pretty easily… I can also have the rims cleaned up pretty easy.

What do you think it’s worth?

Looks a lot like the one I just sold…

Nice little survivor.. Looks like it’s all there. The early years are the valuable ones like the one you’re looking at . I’m thinking 2-2.5k… The ones that are going for double that are fully restored.
