very nice!!! :thumbsup
Turned out nice.
I would be concerned with the railroad tie walls leading to a 6 foot fall. My insurance company would drop me if I had a harzard like that. I'm suprised guard rail's were not required by code:headscratch:
Also, why have 16 foot tall ceiling, and a 7 foot(?) garage door opening? I think I would have made the garage door much taller, so you can get one of Browns lifted trucks inside, or a semi.
There is a fence going in front of the drop zone...and I have no interest in a lifted anything, so I felt the door I got would suffice.
A short chunk of chain link ought to be more than sufficient to lower the liability on that drop zone. If it were mine, I probably wouldn't even bother with that but I'm a Canadian and don't get sued every 10 minutes.
... so you've decided to make do with that door?
One of my shops has an 8' door, while the other two have 7' doors. In the last 20 years, I've never said to myself, "Gee... it sure is nice to have this 8' door."
The 8' door is at the lake, by the way. Maybe one day I'll sell that place to someone who has a lifted pickup truck and will appreciate the taller door. In turn, the neighbors will enjoy the drunken debauchery, all night rap music, and watching his skank whore daughters grow up and blossom into fully grown, high dollar prostitutes.
