Thats exactly our plan. When we visited a few weeks ago they were practically begging us to get into a finished/almost finished house. Even lowering the price by 10-30k right there with zero negotiations on my part. I think that whole area will drop some. Not alot but some. Demand is still high.

Sooner I can find a job that allows me to live/work there. We are out. Wife’s work has signed off on her moving and working remotely with driving to vegas 1-3 times a month for the day

Where did you look that they were discounting?

I still say the value is in the newer track home developments off the 7. They build fast and you get way more for the money with families our age with similar likes.

yep good areas.....

Dixie springs is a different beast price wise. Custom builds for the most part and one of the few short term rental areas so then prices are up there.

if they sound half as good as they look they should be great!
If they are the same as the ones Zach hooked me up with you will be more than happy. I have them in my outdoor patio and I can bump the entire backyard with two speakers if I wanted. They sound crisp too!

Some pretty big houses in this neighborhood. I bet I have one of the smallest being a single story 2675.

The other single stories have smaller lots and No rv garage so I think ours will do good with upgrades.

There is a couple monsters going in right now have to be 4500+ with big garages or separate rv garage/casitas.

Thanks brother!

How's Crown Town? I guess they started to build on that vacant land at highgrove and lincoln finally.
Same ole...homes getting stupid money. House behind me just sold for 865k....125k over asking. Those new ones on Highgrove.....look like single story, but close to 3000 sq ft. Nothing super crazy......I think they are asking right @ 1 mil...😲

That is looking good. We are so happy you guys are so close to the finish line. As much as I wanted to do the custom built deal.. we wouldn’t have been able to make the move if we did.

Some of the RV garage houses in my neighborhood that we were targeting before we bought are just now getting done. These are what we would have bought when we were trying to finish out the school year. The houses are $100k more than ours and if we sold in CA now it would be easy $100k less for our place. My same model house on my old street has been sitting for sale for a month.

Down the road a bit you can probably be around $800 with a pool and an RV garage or a 3 car with RV parking.

I really wanted an RV garage, but the house we found checked every other box and had a big lot with room for a shop and pool. I’m waiting on the pool for right now. We’ll see if that ends up being a mistake or not.

We just did a family road trip through Lake Powell, Kanab, Bryce, and Zion and drove home around the 15 through Vegas. That whole area is nice. I have no plans to move from Cave Creek, but I can understand the appeal of moving from Southern CA to Utah.

CT you're spot on. I fill your pain. I'm living in mine now and feel better. That being said I'm still waiting on block for my wall so I can finish my pool and install my pavers. My view of backyard

Headed back at the end of the month. I found a new job that allows me to work full time remote. Hoping to move before end of the year. Still deciding if we should buy or rent at first.
That is great news. After our day on the water and talking to you and your better half I hope that you are able to make the move that you are hoping for. 👍

Figured it would be good to put a bow on this adventure.

signed the original contract to build 3/21

Completed the final review/redline 5/21

Broke ground 9/21

We ended up getting the keys and moving in 6/22/22. Everything came together at the last minute and we fell very fortunate how it all worked out especially with the financing. I don't know exactly how my mortgage broker pulled it off but he extended my rate lock for way longer than i thought possible. We ended up securing a 3.8% 30 year fixed at a time when rates were closer to 6%.

By the time we moved in the pool and front and rear landscaping/hardscape were complete so that was nice. We planned accordingly and it worked out. We have neighbors that are still finishing up nightmare pool builds with different companies and still don't have block walls or cement months later.

The wife and I busted our ass for a solid month straight getting everything dialed in,hung and built. The sheds went up pretty quick so i could clear the garage and start on hanging cabinets. I had the garage wired for a mini split but was going to wait to purchase and install due to the money tree being destroyed by other new house stuff but when its 105+ and you are trying to work on a garage i figured i would bite the bullet and go for it. Ended up installing a 24k system myself and hired a guy for #250 to vacuum the lines and make sure it was dialed. Let me say garage ac/heat is the best thing I have ever done...lol The garage is fully insulated and with the 2 celling fans it barely works to keep everything at a comfortable 78.

The house is pretty dialed at this point. We had some paint/drywall touch up that was needed and they also had to fix a couple rain gutter issues and retile our bathroom shower bench due to water issues.

Congrats CT! I'm picking up my jaw off the desk. It's everything I want in my next home. I will kick the wife in the shins for not moving out of state when I get home today... 🤣

Wow, the place looks awesome!

We're currently trying to figure out garage cabinets. What manufacturer did you go with?
New age bold

For the price I would say they are extremely nice. I chose to wall mount as i think it looks cleaner.

Keep am eye out they should be having some good black Friday sales.

I have plumbing/drain in the far right lower cabinet under the neon that i plan to cut in a sink/faucet in the work bench.

Awesome, that's what we have our eye on at Costco. I recognized the look.

Also, that pantry is badass.

race deck free flow

Second garage I have done with it.....huge fan

The family with the help of LOF installed most of it in a couple hours. The edging that needs cutting takes a little more time but it's easy with a chop saw.

Water and dirt fall through. I blow it out and vacuum it a couple times a year. If you really maker a mess or damage a tile they are easily lifted or replaced.

realistically same price point as quality epoxy but looks better and is more durable. Cheaper than polished concrete

They also have a big black friday sale worth checking out.

Super jealous. Did you go with the Bold or Pro cabinets? Costco?

bold...I got it direct from newage.

The pro are nicer but i didn't want to sacrifice the room due to how much deeper they are because i will be installing a 4 post lift where the Camaro sits.

They have different packages at different vendors so I would shop homedepot, costco and direct.

Last black friday i ended up ordering 2 of the same packages that seemed to be on the biggest sale as it worked for my situation and then it will let you add extra pieces for a discount. I ended up getting the pro shelving for a deal as well as another base cabinet and 2 wall cabinets for like 50% off.
