I have to say, as ridiculous as it is, It would get used more than some of the boats people own here that range from $250,000 - $1,250,000

Any of the high end full size SUV’s still have a market adjustment. I’ve had dealers ask me why wouldn’t I spend 10k for it. Then I ask why should I pay more than MSRP. Doesn’t go any further than that. I still haven’t got one though, as there is a guy behind me that will cough up the extra dough.

It’s now more the point for me. You got to put your foot down sooner than later or this will never change.

I don’t get it. A fast truck or SUV is slower than almost any v8 car.

Go buy a regular Escalade, a v8 Camaro and build a garage to store them both in for under $250k :)

🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ve been trying to buy a new 4Runner TRD Pro or 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium for the last 4 months. $10k over MSRP is the price. I won’t pay it. Anyone got a 2014 and up for sale?
They were pulling that same crap on us when we bought the wife’s 4Runner. Went to Arizona and got it for under msrp

I would daily the fuck out of a supercharged 5.0 4 door f150. Not many v8 cars the would be beating it on the street.

Let’s say for a moment. You had an item to sell and you found 2 people to buy this item from you.

Buyer 1 will pay fair market price.

Buyer 2 will pay you double fair market price.

Whom would you sell it to?

Basically, that’s what’s happening today. The dealers are auctioning off theses low volume/ high demand vehicles.

If I owned a dealership and had bills to pay and I could find a sucker to pay it I would do the same.

Everyone wants to make money. If you are in the business to sell cars why are people shocked when prices are high when people are dumb enough to pay for them?

I wanted a fully loaded F250. But the prices are stupid in my opinion so what I did was not buy one lol.

I bought a XLT which has all the same components that matter as the loaded one 20k less. I just don’t get fancy interior.

Yep, basically a silent auction. They put a nutty price on it and see who bids closest. They will probably get 30k over, because some just HAS, to have it. Nuts.

Exactly. People forget that there are people out there that have so much money that deciding what pen to use to write the check is the hardest part of buying something.

Plus they have tax guys that will find a way to write off the damn thing anyway lol

A business owner can section 179 that thing and write it off 100%.

That is what I did with my current truck.

Now you see why trucks got so expensive 🤣

To me, that's not good advertising.. F that place. lol
Somewhere there is a rich guy that is calling right now to find out what it costs to have it in his driveway tomorrow.

BTW an outboard boat motor isn’t worth 70k either but that isn’t stopping anyone from having a couple strapped to the back of 2 beer cans and some plywood lol

Yeah, I know... But there must of been a shortage of rich guys calling or he wouldn't have lower his price. But I see yore point.

There is no shortage. That is how you deal with rich guys.

It’s the same sales pitch your wife gives you at Nordstrom. It was marked up 100%, then discounted 25% and she tells you she got a deal.
