I'm down 13lbs since starting Nutri System.
Even had breakfast and lunch at Disneyland with a couple glasses of wine Monday.

Ronto's breakfast wrap. Damn it tastes great:

Lettuce wraps Carthay Circle Bar:

Still a long way to go.

If you are considering Nutri System, read the fine print of what each plan offers.
It was mis-leading but since been corrected that my plan was a 20 day of food for a month.
The $10 a day charged for 30 days even though you only have food for 20 days.
Probably on purpose but called out they fixed it and corrected it and made good on it. At least for me they did so beware.

So far all the food has been great. Lost my appetite so it's really easy now. Force feeding.

Anyone else losing weight?

I never took promotions there. I completely understand why. The 10% increase pay wasn't worth it.

If a supervisor tried to fire someone,,, the supervisor ends up damn near or fired. We had 2 guys that flat refused to work.
I preferred to show up on time, keep busy, pull a few OT shifts,, go home on time. Drama free.

That's how I do it, the promotion was killing my activity levels and the fumes from the asphalt was giving me bad headaches daily, I was going home and telling my family to leave me alone. No Bueno

Stress makes a person irrational. Mood altering. Ruins your life.
If I wrote stories of my work experiences, no one would believe the crap that went down with entitled people.
I sure as hell didn't want to supervise them.

I'm down around 12 lbs over the last 6 weeks. I've been doing intermittent fasting, having a protein shake for lunch, eating a reasonable dinner, avoiding snacks, and exercising regularly. I've cut out drinking during the week, and try to drink tequila/soda or tequila on the rocks instead of beer on the weekends. I have the occasional big meal now and then, but then just get back to my eating program the next day. It seems like a steady 2 lbs per week is dropping off and I'm happy with that. I'd like to drop another 15 by June. I'll still have more to lose, but I'm trying to be realistic with my goals.

Also I was using myfitnesspal to track all of my food, even a few chips here and there. It really helped me to understand how many calories I was taking in, and when I was eating them. I realized that I was consuming a lot more calories at dinner than I thought, and just cutting that back has made a big difference. After doing it for a few weeks, I got to a pretty good understanding of how to manage my calories and don't use it everyday now, but it was a great tool for me to get started.

I’ve been a regular walker for many years, with bike riding thrown in from about April/May through September/October, so I’m not completely falling apart but I do have a bit of a gut with the attendant roll. Recently, joint pain, and a discussion with an orthopedist, convinced me I needed to build muscle. So, about 2 months ago, I started weight training and cardio 4 days per week, and 2 miles or more of fairly steep trails several times weekly.

I’ve only dropped a few pounds, but I’m building muscle as intended. I’m counting on more muscle to help with weight loss, as well as the joint and lower back pain. I can say that the back pain is now virtually non-existent, and I think the joints are getting better. I’m watching how much I eat and drink, but not religiously, so we’ll see how the weight loss part works out.

Down 13-15 lbs and 2 belt holes since January. Down to 210 ish which was my goal by April 1st.
Only change was cutting back the drinking during the week.
Looking to drop another 10-15 lb by June.

Losing weight is like when you get a new girl in your life. Your aches and pains seem to vanish.
Haha! How true!

Fortunately, my memory is so poor that my wife of 47 years says we’re still together because I wake up every day and see a new woman next to me. 😂

Good for you. Priorities.
I don’t make shit. But my stress from work is zero. At least 40days off a year. I don’t bring anything home.

I was over 290 a few times at the end of last year. Bloodwork at my annual physical had my blood sugar at 135. The wife used me as her excuse to start dieting as she was nearing 200 lbs. herself.
Doing nothing other than drastically cutting carbs and eating between noon and 6pm has turned into not having a first meal until 1:30-2pm as I'm just not all that hungry at noon.
I'm at 250 lbs. today and even occassional carb binges don't seem to have much of a negative effect in the long run.

The only thing stopping me and the wife from doing the Nutri System is the price, seems excessive ??? But it sounds like it works huh?

I put on the covid 50. Down 25 in the last few months to 225. Kind of stalled there. Back on GOLO and Hydroxycut. Hoping to cut another 25

Stress from the 7k layoffs at my company in the next few weeks should help with the weight loss. 😱😱🤷🥃

4 months off the sauce & feel a thousand times better.
Been doing a bit better on the diet side as well, which is helping.
Now I'm running out of excuses to get on a little exercise routine . . .LOL.
Overall, down about 20 lbs. but need to shed at least that much more.

I mentioned in the other thread I'm doing Carnivore, kind of a personal experiment. I stuck to it 100% in March. Drinks were only water and coffee(no flavors or sweeteners) no booze either. I dropped 22lbs in March alone. I feel much better, the most noticeable positive effect was how clear my mind feels, maybe that's the lack of bourbon. Either way I'm more sharp and my energy is more even throughout the day. This routine isn't for everyone but I'm seeing very positive results so far. I'm going to continue for all of April as well.

My response to dissent is “It is what it is. Part of the game. Some go your way, some don’t” followed by a thumbs up with a smile.

It's not a miracle on the scale of Jesus turning water into wine, but it's close.

I weighed 214 this morning, down from 296 in July 2021. That's 82 lbs.

I went shopping this afternoon, purchased a few pairs of shorts and a pair of Levi's 501s. They're a little smaller than the jeans I wore at the peak of fatness.

Dieting thru Desert Storm sucks !.
Saw my Doc Easter monday 04/09.
He had my blood.test results from the week prior......
When your Doc uses the term "Danger zone", you need to listen. Stroke territory. Sodium & Fructose levels off the chart.
OK.... I listened. I cut out almost everything.
Fresh cut fruit & granola for breakfast.
No coffee or splenda.
No sweets at all. All veggies.
247 on 04/09 in his office.
225 today.
25 to go.
& then the tough part. Finding a balance to keep it off.
I miss pizza !

Down from 198.8 to 166.6 this morning. Over 30 lbs. 1/2 lbs to go to my goal. Took a year of habit change and giving up the booze for me. I know many would say being under 200lbs did not require a diet, but sad to say, at 5'-11" that is considered overweight. Off to run a 5K this morning, but it is raining so I'm guessing it's canceled. I turn 53 next week, and feel more like 43, or maybe even late 30's.

I have been a pretty consistent beer drinker since high school. Like many, I considered a 12-pack was intended to be finished once it was opened. I'm pretty sure I won't be restarting the beer habit anytime soon. It has been refreshing to not be a slave to beer. I still find myself thinking about driving when making plans for the weekend, and then I am reminded I won't be too drunk to drive.

Need to re-focus on this. Got back up to 208 and need to get back to 190-185.
Dr says at 6’ and 200 I am 30 pounds over. I say 185-190 is target.
Need to focus on eating cleaner, kicking out the sweet snacks and get back to working out.

It was one year ago today that I had a sleeve gastrectomy. I’m now down 95 lbs. 299 to 204. Absolutely the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.
That's great. The benefits of lower cholesterol and blood pressure along with eliminating the risk of diabetes are fantastic, and you are now able to do things that were impossible a year ago. Congratulations.

31lbs in 3 months. 236 to 205 today.
The shitty part is when I look in the mirror I'm no where near what I want to look like.
31, I need another 30!
Keep going! So far your results are fantastic.

I’d sure like to know who came up with those charts, I would need to be 9’ 2” to fit my weight at my heaviest🤣

Down 15lbs which was my goal, and feeling great. Don't eat between 8pm and noon the next day, but pretty much don't worry what I eat or drink, doing a ton of walking, did 180 miles walking in April and 167 miles in March

The BMI index came out when I was in my early 20s. I weighed about 220, some of that was from weightlifting for high school football. I was gonna be a star, but my knees dictated otherwise.

Anyway, according to the index, my 6'2" frame was supposed to weigh 198. I had a roommate at the time that ran two miles around the park across the street from our house at 6 AM so I joined him. Then I started dieting. A lot. In the ensuing five months, I lost weight every week, and one morning after running, I weighed 199.

I swear to God five minutes later I was up to 202, and I've never been close to 200 again.

😁

That index is not one size fits all.

Just about as heavy as ever. Weight loss starts next month as I’m getting my rotator cuff repaired which will put me out or the gym for a couple months. If the only thing I’ll be able to do is walk then I’m assuming I’ll eat less and lose weight.
