Both of my rigs, 05 denali 260k miles, stock, only added an upgraded trans cooler, remote start alarm with gps tracking.
08 escalade 160k miles, same mods as yukon, would like to get a toy hauler so looking at older excursions, 3/4 ton gm’s or duraburbs

My contractor made me an offer I couldn’t refuse ($4500) on my 1999 Sub...I’m feeling a lot of regret

I still haven't launched the boat with mine. its a 2018 2wd that is lowered 4" on 24's. The thought of it sliding on the ramp is a bit concerning lol anyone else launching a 25' boat in a lowered Suburban or Tahoe?

Should be fine as long as the ramp isn’t slick

How does it tow the trailer, if you don’t mind me asking? I have a 2013 and tow a 21’ Essex. A trailer is a lot heavier and was wondering how it does.

I don’t use it to tow the big trailer. It towed my pre runner, and stuff like that just fine. At the end of the day it’s still only a 1/2 ton. My trailer is 9900 dry.

I had a 2000 Tahoe 2wd. got stuck on ramp once and I sold it right after that.

I love my Suburban LT with every option available in 2001,

3/4 ton 8.1L 4wd/AWD. plenty of power the only problem is it loves to go to the gas station and with a 38 gallon tank it isnt cheap to fill in California.

I can’t remember the last time I used 4wd on a ramp. Usually just take it slow and haven’t had an issue
Fortunately I haven't needed to use it often, but it has happened more than once. Just sayin'. :D

We had a tahoe and loved it but storage for trips sucked because there is very little space behind the back seat. Last year the tahoe threw a rod and we traded it in on a suburban. Wasnt really wanting a suburban but it just made more sense. Then we found out we were pregnant with our 4th kid and it really made sense. We love this car now, it pulls average when we dont want to take the cummins somewhere and is a great all around vehicle. Pulled a boat at our local lake over the summer just fine, 23 foot wakeboard boat. Didnt really need 4wd because we have the truck so its 2wd. My wife works her ass off so for her 30th this year she got new wheels and tires and i leveled it and it looks a lot better now.

Here is our ‘13 Yukon we had for a while. Great truck, fully loaded, I installed 22’ with 305’s on her. Towed the old Nordic while we had it, then the Cheetah for a while before I got my big truck.

After a month finally got our Escalade back last night from being blacked out.

All 110 pieces of chrome trim and the wheels [emoji1665] had the front windows tinted to match the back and lightest shade done on windshield.

Haven’t sent it yet I’m the light with everything done but super happy with how it looks at night.

Did they paint, wrap, or use black chrome? I may need to do something like this soon. Was the price reasonable?

And they had it for a month?

Normally it’s 5 days. The first week we were delayed by rain, then we had the holidays, then There was an issue and they didn’t do the wheels the first time so it had to go back.

So we were in a loaner for almost a month.

2019 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN ESSENTIALS: GREAT IF YOU NEED IT, BUT TOO MUCH IF YOU DON'T
Chevy's biggest is a great option for the mega-family, overkill for the rest of us
JANUARY 4, 2019

What is it: The 2018 Chevy Suburban is the biggest of the company’s body-on-frame SUVs. This one sports a 6.2-liter V8 making 420 hp with the sporty RST package. The standard version gets a 5.3-liter V8 delivering 'only' 355 hp. The RST also adds the new 10-speed automatic transmission. Non-RST models come with a six-speed. The Suburban is about 2 feet longer than the Tahoe.

Base Price: $69,595 As-Tested Price: $81,770

Highlights: This $80,000 hunk of metal lands under the Premier trim, which adds Magnetic Ride Control, keyless entry with push-button start, 12-way power heated and ventilated seats, lane change alert and side blind zone alert, 20-inch wheels and a few other baubles to the already well-equipped Suburban package.

2018-Chevrolet%20Suburban-005.jpg

The 2019 Chevy Suburban is spacious both inside and out.

Our Opinion: It’s the big fella. It’s Shaq Diesel if he was an SUV. The Suburban's interior is absolutely cavernous, as is that of the Tahoe, but seriously, if you’re planning to bring a team to a tournament you might want those extra two feet of cargo space. With all three rows up, the Tahoe has suprisingly little cargo space in the back. The seats are comfy and the interior is a pleasant place to spend time and all of the controls are easy to understand. Road Test Editor Jr. was so far away I couldn’t even give him the fist bump I usually do after we make a yellow light.

The Cadillac Escalade is getting a little played out in its 20th year, and I don’t know why you’d get one over this. If you’re looking for bling, the Lincoln Navigator has it. On the other hand, a new Escalade is coming next year. You could always wait for that.

Power is obviously great from the 6.2-liter V8. And like the Tahoe with the RST package, that engine and the upgraded brakes make this SUV feel a little bit smaller than the Godzilla crusher it is. It doesn’t feel small, mind you, just small-er. The ten-speed feels great here, as opposed to some of the Ford models that have it. The Blue Oval and Bowtie developed it together, remember.

I’d skip the bigger wheels on all of these machines, despite the slightly better looks. I complained about it on the Escalade and I’ll continue here. If you’re not getting a sports car, why the rubber band tires? It ruins the ride. If anything I would want big-ass mud tires and a trailer hitch for outdoorsy type events.

This Suburban gets 14 mpg in the city, which means about 14 mpg overall for an enthusiast. Like the Tahoe, to own one you’d have to hate gas and money and love stopping at the gas station. Still I have no problem, morally, with this SUV, as long as you need it. If you’re brood is big, or you have a boat, or you regularly take a second family on vacation, no problem. If you just want a higher perch to sit above traffic, get one of the myriad other three-row SUVs that get better gas mileage than this. If you NEED to buy American, get the Dodge Durango -- it has three rows, though smaller, and with the big engine is actually fun to drive, and nimble, relatively.

Speaking of the Lincoln Navigator, we went to look at one the other night and the local dealership didn't have any. Not one in stock. Can't buy what they don't have

Just curious....Anyone with an 07-14 Yukon XL / Sub that has the bench 3rd row seat they want to trade out for the capt chair 3rd row seats? I have the Capt. chairs front to back and would really like the extra seating of the bench for the 3rd row only, not the second row. Stupid me went out of my way to get 3 rows of Capt chairs because it looks cool. However, it Always seems we have 7. Interior is greyish leather.

They are bad ass imo. Only played with it a few times but those seats seem to be the ticket.
