The water tanks are full at least. It has yet to rain hard. I am just across the freeway from La Jolla, 2 miles from the beach. What a bust. If my pool doesn't reach the rim I'm not going to be satisfied.

Well with this cooler weather and lack of sun I was able to spend the day in the attic working on my HVAC installation. Just need to run the line set from the AHU to the condenser and I'll have AC again. It's been 6 months with no AC or heating...

Lots of water coming out of the sky here in the high desert. Love it, seeing the Mojave River flow makes me happy.

Wind is starting to pick up, I’d say 5-10 mph sustained and gusts around 20. Not much of a hurricane.

Reported 70mph wind gusts in Carlsbad. Raining sideways for the last few hours. Just over 1.5 in the rain gauge with heavier rain due between 8 and 2pm

I got a jobsite with 3 bldgs in Indio. Should be an interesting morning since the Glazer never caulked any windows yet like I suggested he do Thursday morning. Big site 🫣

Update: Just saw pics of the site. Completely flooded. Grader will be on site pumping. Gunna be a long day. Some temp fence blew over also. Probably take 3 days of pumping. FML 🤦‍♂️

Some heavy and steady rain going on in Ventura County, no wind. I drove the 405 and 101 today, wide open.

Fallbrook is gnarly right now. Half inch per hour of sideways rain and crazy wind. Doesn’t help I’m up on a hill but still.

So far it's just been drizzling all day in L.A. We had a few small bursts of rain throughout the day, but no wind yet. I hope this system fizzles out before it gets any closer.

Blowing hard at OC shore presently.... I'm guessing gusts to 40 maybe 50 knts. Rained steady entire day.
Maybe all the sand bag folks were right down on newport peninsula where its low. All depends on tide height I think regarding flooding homes. Good to be on a bluff... I waited all day for some thunder & lightning... nada.

We stuck our rain Guage in the middle of the front yard so it's not blocked by walls or patio cover. It recorded 5" !
Wow, I know ours is calibrated but that's a big difference. I'm going to get a new weather station because the anemometer is no longer even close to accurate above 20mph, the Santa Ana winds did it in
