Don't know if you remember, but 20 years ago yesterday that massive flooding happened in Vegas. Recues, pulling people out of cars, etc. Mainly west side

I grew up on the east side, moved way out to the middle of nowhere that is now called mountains edge, then up to Potosi, after that moved around a lot (bachelor days), and now reside in the northwest part of the valley. They valley has really done a lot to improve flooding, but it seems like they fix one thing and the water goes somewhere else.

My grandpa told me that in the 70s the Army Core of Engineers wanted to build a flood channel system through the entire valley, and the citizens voted down the 2 million dollar proposal. I'm kind of glad it never happened, because flood channels have kept me busy over the years lol.

Watching the projection on news now Barstow, death Valley and probably I 15 between that location is going to get hammered. I won’t be surprised if it closes part of I 15. Maybe 6 inches+.
