Bill, who has Mark's old twin Whipple 224 now?
This is the latest (newer) design top. I have a pic of my buddies on my phone somewhere. Original design. Let me try and find it so you can see the diff...

Ah shitty! That thing was a BEAST!! I heard from witnesses it ran 140 a couple times.Boat was sold to a guy up north and he blew the motor up. Quad rotor setup off that motor was parted out and the boat got sold with a N/A motor in it. Current owner built a twin turbo motor for it now. [emoji106]🏻

I do stand corrected on those two. It was never really something he offered. Just like there are some "race" bottoms that acre completely different than what you could walk in his shop and buy. Bowden and Roth are two locally that have these "different" bottoms on a 20.
There was also a different "race" deck.
But now we are getting into one off/extremely limited build type stuff.
Wait, Robert bought Mark's boat? He had the yellow and white jet with the white scoop on it. I was just talking to him about 2 months ago and he didn't say anything about having it. Hmmm.... he better bring it up to Naci this summer. Lol!He posts on PB under the name just electric.

Eeerrrhhh.... sorry, Justin. Just Electric is justin. He, at least had, a yellow and white jet. Comes up to Naci frequently.is Robert the son? I know the guy that owns it now is a kid maybe early to mid 20s Bobby is his name.

That would make more sense. I'm pretty sure Justin didn't buy it.I thought it was high voltage?

I talked to Al a little bit this evening and got the rundown directly from him.
20 came out model year 83. 26 in 85, 22 in 88, 204 in 92 and the 224 around 2000 .
Also the 20 and 204 are totally different bottoms not the same as mentioned. The 20 did have a few I/o and a couple jets also.
Did not know they put any jets in the 20s. That may be worse than a jet in a deck boat.
Nope. Yeah, it's worse.
At first I didn't either. Then I remember once I was hanging out at Als shop (probably bugging him) and he was telling me about a jet version. They obviously didn't work so well. I think a 20 I/O would be a blast. [emoji570][emoji100]
Can a 224 run in an everyday havasu weekend? My comparison is running a vector with a 250 optimax all year long at havasu
Riverbound, If you talk to Al again could you see if he has any tshirts left? I tried to get a few before he closed but he was waiting to have some printed. Thanks
I know this is a old thread but has a new 20 been built.

Eliminator has one or two of the molds, conversations between Al and Bob were occurring about making some hulls, not sure where things are at though currently.
I think eliminator only has the 22 bottom and the 224 deck. I recall the old 22 deck mold was beyond repair. the 20 molds are stores somewhere else.

I don't believe anything has been built since they closed up shop.
My set is an ob but an I/o would ripAt first I didn't either. Then I remember once I was hanging out at Als shop (probably bugging him) and he was telling me about a jet version. They obviously didn't work so well. I think a 20 I/O would be a blast. [emoji570][emoji100]
224 with a 400 would be interesting. They were running twin 280s ya?
If anybody is interested this could be bought right now
400 is too heavy. The one that had twins was put back to a single 300.
It has been on my mind if I sell my truck.
You sold your boat a long time ago right....Buy Boat now....Then worry about selling the truck....You only live once Bildo....!
Going to be talking to Al tomorrow ... he recovering from skin graft surgery ...

I wonder why they were beyond repair.... They only built a couple dozen of them....Those things should be as good as new.....!

Lol. I will probably do something wasteful and put the money into my house or backyard, not a sound investment like a boat. [emoji23][emoji23]
Yes like that one but with a stereo
I haven't spoken with Al for a while. What does he have going on? PM if you'd like.
I have been corrected the older 22 deck is fine. [emoji106]
