Does anyone know of a 3rd gen for sale? I'm looking for a runner with a straight body.

I have an '87 short box, loaded. It runs, body straight except a door fender issue. Original paint and everything. 100k+miles.

Pictures and price? Which engine?
350 tbi, 700 R4. I think 3.08 final drive. Wasn't really thinking about selling it, but need to think about cleaning out the back yard. I can get pictures if you're serious.

I have a 76. My dad bought it new in 76. Been mine since 95. Drove the shit out of it. Tucked away on the garage waiting it's turn.

I know this post has been dormant for a couple of years but my ex decided to return photos I took before I met her in 1995 just this past weekend and I'm looking to join the squarebody previous owner club
I bought a 74 K5 blazer from a interesting character in Sacramento in 1989, it had several bullet holes in it that according to Steve (very intelligent black guy, that is another story) were from a Asian rival gang, dude spent several years in federal prison for running guns in the mid eighties.

Anyhow, this was my 74 K5 Blazer, 350, AC, auto hubs, deluxe interior (woodgrain inlays in door panels and dash, chrome strips on the door felts etc). Also had 86ish Fierro cloth seats, roll bar, center console and power rear window. It was a nice rig, but had almost zero structural rigidity when wheeling. If the top was off the doors would pop open going over whoops / really uneven terrain. Upside was my KX250 fit with the tailgate up with the top off, used to ride the bike into the back and a couple of times almost wound up on the hood. The front tire really grabbed on the carpet!
I put a 3" lift on it and 33" BFG's, rebuilt the engine and transmission, it was fun in the summer, not so much in the winter when I moved back to the PNW. That full fiberglass top took forever to warm up but when it did the ice that formed on the inside would turn to water and hit me in the back of the head when getting off the freeway on really cold mornings. I traded it in on my 87 IROC when I noticed the rear leaf springs were cracked right above the axle. I saw it last about 10 years ago, hope someone gave it the attention it deserves.

A few of mine. The big orange one was a full frame off 25 years ago. The blazer I parted ways with for a while and then got it back after 15 years. Then did a full frame off on it after I got it back a few years ago.

'73 Cheyenne Super, Camper Special with a 454. Wish I still had it. It was the first vehicle I ever painted. I eventually got the front wheels to match. Yes, those are white jeans and they made my ass look great!

Nice man, I have a 73’ jimmy and a 74’ blazer plus 2 more square body trucks, they’ve been a life long passion of mine along with guns, jetboats, whiskey and philly cheesesteaks

I feel your pain. I am at 8 right now on square bodies. 3 crew cabs, 2 k5 blazers , one c10 short bed, another c10 long bed and a c20 long bed that I am trying to sell.

I believe the Largest Chevy only truck show is now DINO'S GITDOWN in Glendale Az at the stadium. Last year had over 200 vendors and 8000 trucks were there. The show is Nov 15 weekend and no charge for parking or entry, if your into these trucks every supplier will be there. Im going to be a exhibitor for the first time, Elite Billet Automotive Products. We will have GM licensed billet products no one has ever produced before - looking forward to this circus!

I don’t know what it is about a square body stepside, but I LOVE em!

There is one like that by me, but faded red. 😁 I have been eyeing it for years. The lot is full of old cars and truck, even an old 18’ Kona with an outboard. Stuff has been sitting for years and the guy just keeps getting more. Won’t sale anything. Sad.
