Yeah.... the nets should NOT pop open like that. I heard a rumor the car was on E85 and SPEED KEY tune also (RUMOR.... not 100% on that). Max was hauling ass!!! That had to have been a WILD RIDE for sure, glad he was able to pop right out and was OK.

I was kinda surprised to see the tire choice.. I don’t run a lot in sand but why wouldn’t they use paddles?

Can’t run paddles in the Red Bull Scramble. Tires must be knobby and max 10 inches wide. I wonder if they could have used the Maxxis Bighorn?

I watched all the races, and we were all wondering if they had the speed key, cause we had never seen a speed car (without paddles especially) go that fast in the dunes. We even had a few speed owners sitting with us and they too were amazed how fast they were travelling. The first lap max did (only lap in that heat) before he broke, he was dirty close to catching the leader, and was hauling ass for sure. To bad his other customers don't have their speed keys they bought and paid for, cause it scooby-doos with those extra ponys.

I don't think so, sounds like he came down into a witches eye, and shocked the belt, he also bent a shock at the same time.

Robby did not blow a belt.
In the video Robby posted after max blew the belt he said well I guess now I have to baby the belt. Curious is he drove differently knowing the belt blew

He had the 2nd to fastest lap time, so I don't know if that was babying it.

Not allowed to use paddles for that race. None of the UTVs ran paddles. Tire choice for the speed was not horrible. For that race I would run Big Horns if they make it in a 32" tire. Big Horns work well in the dunes.

The Bandit was moving and looked fast with the E85 tune.

I thought the same. Winner was on big horns.

So who/what was the fastest car?

Leaverton in a CanAm X3 (the belt version.)

The pro race was good entertainment. I think he passed for the lead on the last hill going up comp.

Was there anyway to follow along with the even and figure out what the hell was going on? We pulled up literally right after max rolled and were standing right on top of the bowl he went into. We couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. I think after Max rolled, we caught the 5 lap Sportsman race? It seemed almost 50% of the crowd around us peaced out after that race. Were there more races after that? If so was any of the racing delayed by that weather that rolled in? The racing looked bad ass. It was way cool to see something different out in Glamis. Will be back next year for sure to observer a bit more of the event.

They need some kind of wireless PA for sure. I bet watching by Osborne would be more interactive.

I thought sportsman final was after the pro final. So you may have caught the final race. I was only there for the finals.

Everyone was hauling ass

I’m not an entitled dick head so there is that 🤷‍♂️

There are certain people on this planet I will never like or respect. He is one of them

There’s people that feel the same about me.

Be nice :)

I can respect that RG and his son can drive a car in dirt and RG‘s off-road design concepts are legit.

I will not show any respect towards RG and how he conducts business. His lack of professionalism in business, ruins it for me. RG‘s online persona pushes away potential recreational buyers IMO. His “race ready best in class” statements and side by side comparisons bashing his competitors is pure BS. I work in sales, rule 1) never bash your competitors, let your product speak for itself and highlight your products value without slamming your competitors. I will end, I have zero interest in learning if his in-person persona is different than his online one.

You’re right. I went over board, there are things about him I can respect. Your post pretty much hits the nail on the head though

Any customers get their speed key yet? Saw one at the red bull scramble using the speed key and it seemed to run nice, well until it broke.

Nope, and all the new speeds are still 2023 models. Here we are just about in April too.

No customers have it yet, the ones running at Glamis were Robby and Max, and Max crashed, technically it didn't break.

Yes he is, I don't think it's permanent but it's gonna be awhile. I know he got one of his cars and it's up for sale.

Yes he did. He has been trying to sell it on Facebook.
To be honest I was really looking forward to his initial response and opinion once receiving it. I know he ruffled a lot of feathers on here but I think the guy has a lot of experience in the dirt with different makes and models with these things.

I don’t think the Speed he has now is the one he plans to keep so he hasn’t put any miles on it. According to the for sale ad it was only driven in the dirt to take photos.

what he says is the speed is good in the washboard but its not night and day different from a well setup rzr
No skin in the game, but that was the way these were originally described to me. A turnkey "Speed" was supposed to be equivalent to other cars that had upgrades done. If that's the case, probably what it should feel like. It's not going to ever be a trophy truck, but most people just want better than they have currently.
Hell, I'd take an old Rhino for cruising dirt roads up here!

The car is wicked in the San Felipe whoops. When Robby gapped us like nothing through the whoops I became a fan of its suspension.

Washboard or Havasu rough doesn’t compare to San Felipe. Havasu is child’s play compared to Zoo Rd.
