BTW, I don't believe Speed is doing any sort of performance comparison yet, this will most likely just be a quality comparison, similiar to what he did with the Can Am, so it shouldn't matter which model he uses.

I don’t think he is doing himself any favors by doing these comparison videos. Those that dislike RG will highlight how it makes him look bad. IMO, he should go viral asking for an independent reviewer (SXS focus website, etc), with the request they do a visual and performance evaluation between the Speed, Pro Turbo R and whatever CanAm is of equal level. Like posted above, same race class and see if anyone is willing to do that review.

Showing up in your car to another dealership to do a comparison video is bad business IMO, unless that dealership is a Speed dealership (Not sure the one he showed up to is).

As a potential buyer, at this point I want to see independent reviews, units in owners hands and how warranty work goes. Yes I will pay more, but I was not willing to risk my cash until I had the opportunity to get those data points and for me the extra money I spend will be worth it once I have those data points.

You will see those soon, but honestly manufacturers have been comparing their products to the competitors for decades, remember the ford carrying the chevy on it's back? How bout the dropping cinder blocks into the ford aluminum bed vs. the steel chevy bed?

SERIOUS QUESTION

Are any of you guys concerned about the lack of protection for the rear axle?

I’m willing to bet car 500+ won’t be ready before Labor Day 2023

100$
Careful. Now that numbers are being skipped, car #500 could come quicker than expected. Need some way to tell that 500 cars have actually been delivered.

No, we have to remember that this isn’t a new design. Most pre runners and Buggies have the same set up. (Proper) I may ad and there isn’t an issue. I’d maybe wrap the axel with a protective tape but that’s it.

Just now drove into &,thru SPEED parking lot. No gate, just drove right up to # 4 on a trailer.
Several of you people need STFU & chk it out. This thing is awesome if performs anywhere near good as it looks nobody gonna regret waiting.

I guess if it's just a go fast then I'd agree.

My concern is more about how now people are using these as rock crawling race buggies. Axle housing are built strong for a reason and most of them are trussed or gusseted to add that extra strength when the boulder you are going over decides to test the strength of your front or rear diff.

The Arm looks very impressive. I'm talking about the child sized gap (at least that is how it looks in the pictures) between the hub and center diff behind the arm. All the other SxS's or pre-runner have arms front and back of the actual exposed axles from what I've seen. I'm always open to learn though...

One more thing... Please post videos of the runs through the desert!👍

Wow... Watch this until the end when they jack the cars up. That is a HUGE selling point in my opinion and I'm not really a SxS guy to begin with.
However, that Pro R has more travel than the Speed car does, so that is going to get worse the farther ya go. It would be interesting to compare real world travel numbers and see what these measurements were if you stop at the same travel as the Speed. I am not arguing the geometry isnt better, clearly it is. I am just saying its made to look even worse because its going farther too.....

25” on the Speed versus 22.25”/24.5” wheel travel on the Pro R. The problem I have is the Pro R claims 27”/29” which is usable travel: full droop to chassis bottom. I personally like my spine.

The Pro R does cycle more if you check it yourself. I don't know the actual number but i've been told by guys who have cycled both its more.

I think it was shock therapy that mentioned in one of their videos is that the race teams are actually shorting or limiting the suspension cycle to handle better?
Ya its not about how much travel its about the quality and shock setup.

Appears that 1 half of the weld is missing!

I say run it Like it’s stolen! Let’s see what it can do!

I hope they gets the parts supply / department open and stocked !!

Missing weld on a production Speed?

Or is this just more fake news? That would suck hard if it's a production car. 😔

"Because Robby's car is made with extra thick magical tubing, triple gusseted, fully triangulated, quadruple sheared, JB welded in just the right spots, and has a really cool wrap, that weld doesn't need to be there. It really doesn't matter structurally. You can tell the Speed car is far superior to anything else out there just by looking at it. There's no need to actually deliver customer cars and have some real world actual comparisons done so it can be determined which car is better. Whether his cars come completely welded or not, Robby is doing great things and you all need to STFU."

And my last post now shows WHY do a comparison? Step away for the social media..guys addicted to updates
Someone. Somehow, some place will find a flaw or questionable snap shot.

Wonder if the other cars are the same. Maybe it supposed to be half welded?
99% sure it should be fully around but there's 1% im wrong

From what i read, the welds aren’t complete in order to let water drain out. They say this will stop corrosion in the future

If that is truly the case they would leave the lower portion not welded so the water etc could drain.

Glad to see them finally in the states. Wether it’s better than a Pro R or Cam am is yet to be seen from a performance and durability stand point. Time will tell. I don’t believe you can just come out and say it is far superior in all aspects. Only time and customers driving them constantly will answer that question.

But it does look bad ass!!

Do you guys honestly think that will fly with Robby? Maybe it isn’t welded but I highly doubt any customer would get a car like that. I know most are skeptical, but I think Robby is trying to deliver the best car he can.
