I really want those speed keys to be delivered. Can't wait to see how the motor and trans hold up with all the HP! It will be amazing to witness.

Especially in the dunes!!!

Also, it was very interesting to see the oil change process, and I thought the wifes gayzer was a pain, pull plug, drain oil, remove filter, replace filter and refill oil. I had no idea the speed was so f-n complex. Who knew.

Todd and Robby on the live video tonight showing how to do a proper oil change and now they can’t get the car to start.😆😆😆 this is Robby’s face when he’s talking about how embarrassing it is as they try to clear some engine codes. They have given 0 updates to us customers waiting on cars and last nights live was all about mounting beadlocks🤷🏼‍♂️

@Bpracing1127 Im curious what do you race? Also what is your fascination with the Speed UTV since you have stated you did not, or would not order one? And where do you get your rumored Speed information from?

Hisun sells to 250 Northern America dealers. They will be in that chain as soon as the product is ready to be delivered to the masses. It’s still in its infancy stage. I believe.
Right now RG and Todd control Speed and based on prior "dog and pony" presentation shows they were the ones setting up dealer networks. Hisun is merely the manufacturing facility. Absent Hisun taking over I do not foresee them being in the 250 dealers.

This venture has to be bleeding cubic containers of money. Money I can hardly imagine. Millions and millions of dollars. Anyone who has ever owned a business can comprehend the massive dollars involved here.

Who's funding this thing is my question.

I wonder how many new cars they sold in 2023 and 2024. This is new orders not delivered cars?

@NIKAL i don’t race in sanctioned events. I have a turbo s4. I do 3k miles annually on it. When it comes to my “fascination” with speed. It’s more if you are gonna support the market then shit or get off the pot. Stop lying to the public about dates, expectations and more.

I get my information from first hand knowledge, friends, people I know in the industry and internet.

He's Never gonna see That money. It will be tied up in appeals for decades.

And even if he did have that money, it would be long gone by now.

Something way bigger is in play here. I doubt we will ever know.

Just makes me wonder is all.

Again, why do you care, you have a totally different car that probably had all sorts of issues when the model first came out so it must be a POS. Seriously, it's not your money.

Thank you the reply, I just wondered as your screen name says BP Racing.

The Polaris Turbo S is a good machine. But as you know Polaris has had its share of failures and issues. Some way worse than what Speed is going through right now.

Not sure if you know the history of Polaris. It’s quite fascinating if your into history. Did you know Edgar Hetteen who was the founder & President of Polaris along with his brother & brother in law (technically the BIL created the first snowmobile) Edgar was actually forced out of Polaris due to the pressure of the banks who were financing Polaris, as Edgar made some bad decisions that they felt was hurting the company. If he did not step down & walk away the banks would have defaulted & bankrupted Polaris. Polaris struggled several times after that and eventually after a few ownerships did they finally make it. At one point they had to sell the company to survive, and guess who bought it? Textron. Yep the same Textron that bought Arctic Cat a few years ago. BTW after Edgar left Polaris and his brother was forced to take over, Edgar started Arctic Cat.

Another interesting fact is Polaris in the mid 60’s went to Japan to get engines made. This was 20 years after the war ended with Japan. The USA was still very anti Japanese when it came to doing business with them. And we were in the Vietnam war at the time too.

I did a pretty good time line on the history of Polaris & of Arctic Cat last year if you’re interested to learn more about it.

Caliber 1. You?

Yes you can have an opinion but you don't have to be so negative and aggressive

I am not attacking you, I am just trying to get you to see that you are so angry about this that I thought you were waiting on a car yourself. I respect you and your content, would love to have a beer with you if the opportunity arised.

another interesting fact...Polaris built PWCs in 1994 these were absolute garbage on the race scene. They begged guys to get on the team.
Non stop failures, only difference is there was no internet or at least social media to brag about how good you were.

SPEED KEY E85 RIDER
ASSUMPTION OF RISK, INDEMNITY,
RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE

This SPEED KEY E85 RIDER, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, INDEMNITY, RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE (“Release”) is made and entered into by and between Speed UTV, LLC (“Speed UTV”) and ___________________________________ (“Purchaser”). Speed UTV and Purchaser may be individually referred to herein as a “Party” or collectively as the “Parties.”

Agreement

Purchaser has requested and obtained the Speed Key E85 High Performance tuning (“Speed Key”), which can be used in conjunction with E85 fuel to enhance the performance of Purchaser’s Speed UTV vehicle, including torque, horsepower, and overall speed.

FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of same, and the promises and the mutual covenants herein exchanged and intending to be legally bound hereby, the parties hereto agree as follows:

Assumption Of Risk: Purchaser understands that driving a UTV at or near the speeds at which it is capable may present inherent and inevitable risks which cannot be completely eliminated. Purchaser further understands that utilizing the Speed Key presents meaningful additional inherently dangerous risk factors beyond the control of Speed UTV and/or Purchaser, and further that such enhanced risk factors will affect the operational safety of the UTV. Such factors include, but are not limited to: (a) the skill and experience of the operator; (b) the enhanced performance and danger of the UTV arising from or related to use of the Speed Key; (c) the performance by or on behalf of Purchaser of inspections, maintenance procedures, and repairs; (c) weather, lighting, and driving conditions; (d) the presence of other operating vehicles; and (e) the speed and surface conditions at which the UTV is operated. PURCHASER UNDERSTANDS AND ACCEPTS ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OR OPERATION OF THE UTV, INCLUDING ALL ENHANACED RISKS RELATING TO THE SPEED KEY, MOTOR VEHICLE RACING, AND HIGH-SPEED DRIVING OF ANY KIND REGARDLESS OF CONDITIONS OR EXPERIENCE. Purchaser further understands that the operator may lose control or operate the UTV in a manner that could lead to personal injury and/or property damage when operating the UTV under varying conditions, and Purchaser accepts all risks associated with any such use or operation and any other use of the UTV.

Release and Covenant Not to Sue: PURCHASER AND HIS/HER SPOUSE, HEIRS, LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES, ASSIGNS, NEXT OF KIN AND INSURERS HEREBY RELEASE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE SPEED UTV AND ITS EMPLOYEES, OWNERS, PARENT COMPANY, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATED COMPANIES, AND JOINT TORTFEASORS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS AND EMPLOYEES FROM ANY AND ALL DAMAGES, LIABILITIES, CAUSES OF ACTION, JUDGEMENTS, AND CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH AND PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF A SPEED UTV VEHICLE, WHETHER NOW EXISTING OR ARISING IN THE FUTURE, INCLUDING ALL SUCH MATTERS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE USE OF THE SPEED KEY.

Indemnity: Purchaser further hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Speed UTV and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliate companies, employees, owners, and joint tortfeasors, and their respective officers, directors, and employees, harmless from and against any and all damages, liabilities, causes of action, judgments, and claims for personal injury and property damage, and from any fees, expenses, or costs of any kind, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, incurred in connection with any damages, liabilities, causes of action, judgments, and claims brought, claimed, or asserted at any time on account of any use or operation of the Speed UTV and/or the Speed Key.

The foregoing Assumption of the Risk, Release, Covenant Not to Sue, and Indemnity are given in recognition of the inherent dangers of vehicle operation and use, motor vehicle racing, and high-speed driving, including the enhanced risk and danger associated with the Speed Key, and with the knowledge that Purchaser or third parties could be injured or killed during the use of the UTV and accessories, if any. The Assumption of the Risk, Release, Covenant Not to Sue and Indemnity are intended to protect the released and/or indemnified parties should the Purchaser or a third party later raise claims of negligence, defective design, defective manufacture, failure to warn, or conditions which otherwise would support the imposition of compensatory, punitive, or other damages and/or losses.

Limitation of Liability: Should any provision or this Release be found to be unenforceable for any reason, all other provisions of this Release shall be binding on the Parties and shall remain in full force and effect, and under no circumstances shall Speed UTV be liable to Purchaser or any other person or entity under any theory for the recovery of damages, losses or remedies of any kind in excess of the purchase price of the UTV.

Safe Operation: Purchaser covenants, promises, represents and agrees that he/she/it will not drive or otherwise operate the UTV or allow others to drive or operate the UTV while impaired by drugs, alcohol, illness, physical, mental or emotional limitations of any kind, fatigue, or during hazardous weather conditions. Purchaser covenants, promises, represents and agrees that he/she/it will not operate or allow others to operate the UTV in any conditions for which it was not designed or is not properly and fully equipped. Purchaser further covenants, promises, represents and agrees that he/she/it will secure all training, skill and expertise necessary to safely operate their Speed UTV, including such training, skill and expertise as may be useful, necessary, or appropriate to safely operate their Speed UTV with the enhanced speed, torque, horsepower, and performance afforded by the Speed Key.

Minors and Unlicensed Persons: Purchaser covenants, promises, represents and agrees that he/she will not allow any minor child or children, or any unlicensed person to operate, service or participate in the operation or servicing of the UTV, that all terms of this Release, Waiver, Indemnity and Covenant Not to Sue shall apply to and be binding upon any such minor child or children or unlicensed person, and Purchaser agrees on behalf of any such child, children and unlicensed persons to release, waive, indemnify and never to sue Speed UTV, or their respective parent, subsidiary, employees, owners, affiliated companies or joint tortfeasors, in accordance with all the other terms of this Agreement.

Purchaser agrees on behalf of him/herself and his spouse, heirs, legal representatives, assigns, next of kin, and insurers to release, waive, indemnify from all liability, costs and expenses, and never to sue Speed UTV, or its parents, subsidiaries, employees, owners, affiliated companies or joint tortfeasors, for any injuries, medical expenses or death of any minor child who operates, services, or participate in the operation or servicing of the UTV.

Other Material Terms and Conditions

1. Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that the use of the Speed Key may void certain warranties provided by the vehicle manufacturer or third-party insurers. It is Purchaser’s responsibility to verify the impact of using the Speed Key on any existing warranties or insurance policies. Speed UTV will not cover the piston and rings when using the Speed Key, as these will have additional wear from the E85 and will require a higher service interval. Purchaser also recognizes that he/she/it will also be putting additional strain on the drive shaft, torque limiters, axles, CV joints, transmission, and differential. The additional wear and failure of these items will become the responsibility of Purchaser.
2. Purchaser acknowledges that deviating from the prescribed service items and fueling steps can result in mechanical failures; E85 fuel can degrade rubber and plastic parts in engines and fuel lines, leading to costly repairs; and Ethanol fuel can absorb water from the atmosphere, causing it to separate from gasoline in a tank and form a corrosive sludge that can clog fuel filters and corrode metal components. E85 must be drained and flushed from the fuel system at the end of each ride, and replaced with 92 octane fuel.
3. At all times when using E85, Purchaser MUST run VP M2 Top End Lube or equivalent. M2 alcohol fuel additive lubricates the upper cylinder and fuel system, increases power with more ring seal, and replaces lubrication lost by wash of dry fuels. M2 alcohol fuel additive mixes with only slight agitation and is essential to protect Purchaser’s investment in your methanol or ethanol-powered engine.
4. The Parties agree and represent that this Agreement and any claim or controversy arising out of or related to it shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of North Carolina. The Parties agree and represent that the principal place of performance of this Agreement is Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, that the federal or North Carolina courts of general civil jurisdiction for Mecklenburg County, North Carolina shall be the exclusive forums for the adjudication of any and all such claims or controversies and that such courts shall have the right to exercise personal jurisdiction over them for such purpose. The Parties further agree and represent that Mecklenburg County, North Carolina is a convenient forum.
5. The Parties agree and represent that this Agreement was not executed in reliance upon any statement or representation and constitutes the complete expression of the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, all other or prior agreements, statements, representations whether written or oral, being merged herein. This Agreement may not be modified or amended orally or unilaterally but only by a writing signed by both Parties.
6. Purchaser agrees that this Assumption of the Risk, Release, Covenant Not To Sue, and Indemnity, are intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law, and that if any portion is held to be invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect. Purchaser agrees that the terms and conditions hereof may be pleaded in complete bar to any action brought by him/her/its and his/her/their spouse, heirs, legal representatives, assigns, next of kin, passengers, invitees, and insurers.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Agreement by the signature of the Purchaser and the duly authorized signature of Seller as of the ______ day of ________________, 200__.

PURCHASER REPRESENTS THAT HE/SHE HAS READ AND UNDERSTANDS THIS AGREEMENT, THAT HE/SHE IS EIGHTEEN (18) OR MORE YEARS OF AGE, AND THAT HE/SHE IS LEGALLY AUTHORIZED AND FULLY COMPETENT TO MAKE AND ENTER INTO THIS AGREEMENT.

Just get the name right so you sound legit. It's like learning how to say and spell the brand Schiada correctly but easier. The "E" in all of their logos is a different color for a reason and nobody pays attention or pronounces it correct. They are nice about it but I educate everyone 💪 J & J are 2 of the most solid and hardest working guys I know and they were boaters before they were offroaders👍

Fun Fact, @RiverDave You met Jonathan and his wife (then gf) 20-ish years ago when they were with Kelly and I for the OP6C party in Havasu. We were 21 and the girls were....not. We won "best sandbar gizmo" for the beer bong racing station and you gave us one of the OP6 coolers filled with coors light and jello shots👍

We grew up together and they are a partner in our desert property in Johnson Valley and they bought more land next door they are developing for their arrive and drive and driver training school.
Remember RD,..... the place I've invited you to for King of the Hammers 10+ years in a row. I'm going to start calling you "Next Year Dave." 😁

He hits me up on boats every now and again. I’m not sure if he bought a place off Stacy or not but I think they went out to look a few times.

Cool dude

He contacted me one time on Glamis Dunes when I as looking for a new chassis. I was very impressed with his professionalism and openness concerning the off-road “world”.
My impression was a first class solid dude with integrity and ethics. That was about 18 years ago. Looks like I was right.
Glad to see that especially given how the vast majority of the other “builders” turned out…..
I hope I can afford him when the time comes again….

Can you point me in the direction of a "garage shop" that has mass produced a vehicle from scratch that has 1000's of individually designed parts, specific to only the vehicle they designed, and have delivered 700+ completed vehicles?
I think there’s over 28,000 parts in one of these things if you count every single item.

One of the businesses that I bought stock in and invested back when I put my deposit down, was also bleeding money at the time then the stock tripled and then some. I believed in their product actually owned quite a few of their solar panels on some of my roofs. All I’m trying to say is it can go both ways.

They may just say that they have it because they bought for a dollar like I did.. might not mean they have in hand.

That is a good deal!

I know there’s a lot of haters in here but I truly do love my car..

Check out what Google's AI is spewing about SPEED :D

1719510458953.png

Sounds like a shitload of deposit? Well, it is and it's fake - AI is basing this off of one of Robby's jokes 😂. . .
Guess you shouldnt put shit like this on publicly shared documents.....

On another topic - This is the same shit that's gonna happen with everything in our world as AI gets the spotlight and opportunity to spread complete bullshit.
And 80% of people can't tell real from fake. What do you think is gonna happen with the government? Elections?
Scary shit!

People just believe what they see and read most of the time. When the first thing you see is a big bold search result at the top of the page, how many people are going to notice the "AI" little badge at the corner, and then take the time to dive deeper and find out if it's true or not? Wait till that little AI discliamer badge gets smaller, or goes away . . .

Does anybody actually believe the story about having to ship them back to Vietnam, or China?

The Chinese know every single angle that there is involving imports and the chances of them making a screw up like that is not likely.
I deal with international shipping monthly involving large parts from all over the world and this is almost not possible In my experience.
Those ships have schedules to keep and a minor part of a load like this would not be worth the trouble.

I am surprised no one is questioning this in this thread.

This whole debacle keeps getting a little more strange ummmmm …………yearly….

There were two rumors as to why.

1. The turbo serial numbers or something like that didn't match
2. They were sent as 2024 models, and they didn't have the EPA/CARB certs for 2024 yet

I'm guessing the latter was the case and it wasn't as simple as just paperwork.

These wouldn’t have gone back on the same boat but a different boat. What confuses me is if paperwork usually put in a bonded warehouse until figured out.

Since when did being skeptical about missed dates, broken promises and misleading information make a person a hater?

At some point you kind of need to see a pattern and judge accordingly.

I cannot imagine the engines or the power train holding up to the added power of the elusive “Speed Key”.

Without Robbie’s name “Speed” would already be in the dust bin.
A-arm front, trailing arm rear and rubber band are not ground breaking technology.

Polaris and Canned Ham would love to have the rest of Robby’s suspension patents. Until those patents expire everyone else is stuck with radius arm level technology.

I usually agree with you but there is nothing about 50 year old a-arm design and what like 75 year old trailing arm design that Can Am or Polaris or you or I could build if we wanted to.

The radius arm was designed to lighten the weight of the machine.

You really think an a-arm design is something that Robbie has the market cornered on?
