Is Speed still selling new cars?

I have been down there a few times and while I didn’t stick around to see the paperwork it sure looked like interested buyers to me?

I’m not sure if they even have a legit sales guy in havasu? Closest thing would probably be nick?

I think he means are they model year 2024?

I think they are all 2023. As they don’t have their epa and carb certs for 2024

I’m curious if people are still buying cars given all the negativity surrounding them.

I think I'd be pissed as well, I'm sure there is a legit reason but I would be heading over and talking to Robbie about it and see if you can get clarification as to what is going on.

I do not think they are taking new orders at this time. They still have to fill all the pre-orders which is going to take them a long time to get done. They had a bunch of Bandits for sale after they made 150 or so of them.

So.... Ill take the heat for saying it but for all SxS's..... regardless of manufacturer...... you do NOT RIDE THEM. You do not go for a RIDE. You DRIVE the fuckers. You go for a Drive, cruise, run, etc. NOT a ride.

Ride would be a sitting on a seat, ala dirt bike, quad, 3-wheeler, etc. Not sitting in a seat.

Riding uses the body to manipulate the ride and comfort along with the controls. Driving relies solely on the car/truck/sxs and the driver throttle/brake/steering input for the ride.

Flame on..... But it had to said.

So do you ride or drive a go cart, where body weight transfer is key?

Should You Lean Into Corners In Go-karting?

When go-karting, it's crucial not to lean towards the corner's apex. This action places undue weight on the inside wheels, which is counterproductive. Instead, maintain a balanced posture for optimal kart performance.

Since you are the expert on this, let me ask you...

1. When you say "ride" or "drive" does that just apply the actual act of the person operating the vehicle? Like if I am going for a "drive" in my sxs, are my passengers going for a drive or a ride with me?
2. When we are in a group that has dirtbikes and sxs's, are the sxs guys referring to the route as a drive and the bike guys as a ride or can we as a group just refer to the whole trip as a ride?

I just want to make sure we arent offending anyone....

Good question, are we going for a boat ride or a boat drive? I have been boating many years, and I have never said, "hey you want to take the boat out for a drive", although I have said, "lets go for a boat ride" a bunch of times....I really concerned that I have been saying it wrong the whole time....I need answers...lol

The words are synonyms.

Must really drive you crazy when the guys back east call a SXS a bike. LMAO!!!!!!

Even sandcar guys say "let's go for a ride". It is a desert thing.

You can still place deposits/reservations on Speed cars. Nothing is stopping anyone from placing an order. Delivery of order is another story.

I hate when people call things the wrong things. Like when someone calls all RV's a camper.

And yeah, us desert types like to enjoy our rides. Not just sit down and play follow the leader. We like to use some skill and be challenged from time to time. But to each their own.

😁 😁 😁 😁

I agree 100% . . . HOWEVER - when you're talking to the group about where to go, what word do you use? "Hey, you guys wanna plan a ride?" Lol

To me the "ride" or "riding" is just the trip part, its not what you are physically doing. Lets go on a "ride" means a trip. No one says I was "riding my utv" they will say I was "driving my UTV on the ride". So its a different context in which its used. You are thinking too basic.

Likely a default. Unless it’s serial number 001 of a new corvette model I’m not sure it really matters.

Yes, I believe they run them around that little track in Vietnam for a shake down and then a chassis dyno.

I think mine only had like 3-4 miles on it, but it's normal to have some mileage on them..
