I still have yet to find someone who has paid in full. I highly doubt speed has asked for full payment to date as well.

That is the indicator to me that delivery is close. I still think 2023 for first 100 cars.

All speed owners will miss 2022/2023 riding season

We will find out here soon!!

“All” is a strong word. As a Speed owner I’ve missed no part of the 2022 season to date aside from when my Polaris was broken :)

I'll say it again, I got the call, with an "around" thanksgiving date, and I was specifically told they were not looking for any money from me. Now, we are less than 30 days away from December, and I haven't yet received a call for money. that tells me, I'm still at least 30 days out.

There are no speed “owners”, just deposit holders.

Does anyone here really think this will take another 10 years? Let’s be realistic here. They have running cars. The obvious answers are probably the most likely ones. The design of the car is done. The testing has been done, most if not all of their validation has been done. They are stalling because the factory that is going to build these long term is in Mexico, and is not up and running yet at worst (very likely) or nearing operational at best. That is why they are unsure on deliveries past 200 or whatever.

If it took 10 years from now they would be out of business by then. Are they going to go out of business? I think that probability is near zero with their given pipeline of 16k units. Let’s say the economy crashes and they only make half.. there is still enough margin there to make them whole on standard industry margins. Obviously they are not going to sell these at a loss or a wash after the first 1500 or so cars, and pending 7000 engines don’t blow up they will be likely into profit or well on their way. They are already working with experienced manufacturing partners that know how to plan for warranty items. Hisun is not new to this. That said there will be absolutely be problems. But those problems are mine to deal with, not yours or anyone else’s.

The probability of them being bought out is probably higher considering they have a fully developed product ready to produce. We don’t know anything about who is backing this and what percentages. We do know they don’t have to answer to shareholders, and don’t seem to have a ton of overhead.

If there is a class action lawsuit that may or may not preclude me from getting a car, depends on the suit. I probably would not be a part of it at all by selling the spot today anyway. How would I have been harmed if I got all my money back by selling the spot?

You didn't answer my questions. You have said many times that you "literally" don't care how long it takes. So . . . how long is too long? It's been nearly 3 years, I think? 2 more? You don't think it will happen. You believe the first arrivals are imminent. But you have thought that for many months now. Everyone has a point where his/her patience will run out.

I have seen no tangible change in the likelihood of imminent arrival since this thread began. I'm not holding my breath for it to change any time in the next few months either. Hopefully I will be surprised and my friends will get their cars eventually, or at least their money back. Good luck with your wait. I hope the anticipation will be worth it.

I’ve said numerous times.. I don’t care how long it takes. 2 more years, 10 more years, whatever. I don't see 10 years happening. I see many cars being delivered next year. Would I have liked to have it by now? Sure.

It’s been 3 years since debut, but the first 16 months of that we knew the cars were not going to be ready. I said 3 years ago there is no way they would be on time. I’m not a first arrival, my car is not imminent. I had low expectations of this whole thing from the beginning, but parts near my house and a locked in price sounded pretty good.

If someone with a car on order is of the same opinion as you - that there has been no tangible change in the last 6 + months - they should sell their spot. What rational person would keep waiting if they think the car will never come?

Here is a new video of Robby driving one out in the wild. Looks pretty good except the check engine light and steering wheel alignment.

It must be absolutely thrilling for all the deposit holders who have $5K to $20K + in money spent, seeing at least ONE guy enjoying a Speed car. 🤔😶😁

I heard they don't care. All they want is to have the best made sxs. As you can see being made and assembled in China hasn't brought down quality. I bet Robby was testing the check engine light to see if it was bright enough and wanted to make sure you can install the steering wheel at any position and the car still drive.

Did they repair the assembly line after the speed car hit it?

Haven't you read the thread? Those people have so much money that they "don't care" that they gave RG a multi-year interest free loan or something like that that....

R&D is a never ending thing in the quest for perfection.
Of course the fan boi spokesperson has bequeathed up to 10 years for this to happen.
Robbie might need it... 😁

Real genius. Like a cult leader.
Get people to crowd fund his hobby and 'business' with no guarantees of a product delivery.
And the kicker..you can't get your money back from him. You can sell it to the next follower.
Genius.

It gets even scarier if he starts marketing his own Orange Kool aid drink ...

Oh shit, it's too late.
For some😁

I personally know 2 guys that paid in full because they had the money and were under the impression production was about to go full tilt. 1 is annoyed and embarrassed he did that 🤦🏽‍♂️

I saw that RG commented on a picture with this comment 112 weeks ago and now understand why people fuck with him, he has been trolling for a long time.

Why in the hell would anybody do that? There was 0 to be gained unless they were trying to hide money for some reason 🤣.

Well not exactly interest free since the price of the cars went up 11k?
And how many people would have ponied up that extra coin? It would be interesting to see the volume numbers of orders year to year with that factored in….

There are 16k cars in pipeline, and maybe 2700 cars at a discount from current MSRP, about 1000 of those are at the original $12k discount.

A bunch of people will be kicking in the extra coin…. All those that buy them from a dealer. And those that purchase them when they drop.

Try buying a used let alone new 230 HP 77” SXS for $32k… you can’t.

So how many of those 16k have a deposit out on them?

3000 something direct orders have deposits. The rest are to fulfill dealer orders. We’ve been over this hundreds of times. I have no idea if there are deposits on the remainder.. probably not.

Did Hank really do it that way?

Back in '13, he had them coming off the line every 93 minutes.
That's about 15 a day, or 75 a week. RG might be able to hit the same goal, hopefully, maybe more.
16,000 should keep him busy for a couple of years. Like 4+ 😁
Definitely technology has improved over the last 9 years... sorry, 109 years. Henry Ford was pretty ambitious. Can RG keep up? Time will tell, lol

View attachment 1171661 Huge update from SPEED… 🙄
Three more cars so production has doubled. :looking: Still interested to see when they are up to full production rates. I am seeing our production raw material challenges ease up a little. So I assume the same for RG and production to be ramped up. 👍
