How did this become a free car with a pile of cash? Splain please.

I put deposit on car

Economy crashed in 3/2020

I put remaining Speed car money into crashed market.

Market recovered over the last couple years, and money multiplies.

I can sell some positions and pay long term cap gains to buy my cars on order when I get the call.

Original money still remains with profits

2 cars are now free with $0 out of pocket and bought at a discount protecting the now free cars from most of the depreciation hit.

The reason I bought in the first place was because it was a discount, and the depreciation would be covered. The economy coming back was a nice bonus.

2nd car may be kept or sold for a profit.

So you are saying this is just like the hat holding RE thread..you are a naysayer and rooting for people to be financially impacted, but because you say you ā€œdonā€™t want it to failā€ you arent really rooting for failure.

Thanks, at least you are consistent.
You need to learn how to read and understand instead of spin as you typically do. I Don't want nor do I root for people getting hurt and failing but the FACT that some are going to get hurt and fail is just a fact of life....and there will be others that make money off of the swings of markets... :)

Still laughing :) you are one of the funniest posters to watch, no matter what anyone posts you always have an opinion, you cannot go 1 minute without making a comment lol lol....3 years, lets see what happens this next 12 months :)

ā€œThis will fail, but Iā€™d never root for failureā€ - sure pops, just like the cheerleading for RE collapse.

Iā€™d tell you to hold onto your hat, but 7.3s donā€™t go that fast šŸ¤£

You canā€™t go 1 minute without commenting on my comments either.

Hold onto your you hat. The backpedaling will need to be quick šŸ˜‰

No one questioned the features on the car. Everyone questioned the timing and by the time the car was delivered, the other big players would have updated cars, reducing the so call best features in the Speed car. IMO, most folks are getting a 50-60k car for 35k, 3+ years after ordering it and replacing a car they have in the garage. The kicker is no one is going to get 35k for the car currently in the garage (used SXS market is not as strong as it was a year ago).

Now, what I canā€™t figure out - everyone can get photos of everything these days, but no one has a photo of 250 speed cars being assembled.

You need to learn how to read and understand before you post, lol... You are predictable just like a 12 year old. Just a reminder, all my 7.3's made a shit load of money and actually RAN and I am able to DRIVE them not just look at pictures and sitting back and dreaming about them for a third of a decade. lol

How about that Cyber truck? šŸ˜‚.

There was a substantial savings ordering early and waiting. If Iā€™m playing your financial game, I will be $11k ā€œout of pocketā€ after selling my current car at current market value.

The SXS market is still stronger today than it was in 2019.

Iā€™m sure they are lying and there wonā€™t be any cars at SSSS, and the mountains of drivetrains, chassis and parts were just CGI.

Polaris already updated their car. They are not doing it again for a few years. Can am is not making a car this safe with this level of parts. They never hav and are not going to start when they debut their new car. Letā€™s be honest here. Both of those companies are designed by a committee of bean counters to deliver shareholder value and sell as many units as possible. Speed is a fly on the wall to them right now.

You canā€™t not comment, itā€™s great.
Everything you accuse me of, you demonstrate 5 mins later, and now you bring out the childish insults because the tank is empty and the ego is bruised.

I think I understand your point. Itā€™s like waiting to buy real estate for over 10% of your life because you are banking on a market collapse. While at the same time telling everyone you are hoping RE does not collapse šŸ˜‚

Keep holding onto your hat, itā€™s going to rain from that dark cloud over you.

Pre-orders on the cyber-truck had a price lock only on certain configurations and fine print stating the price might adjust based on costs, with the potential for a discount once the MFRP is set.

I see 5-10 Speed cars at the SSSS and those might be the same ones from last year. Just like boats, a few new customer cars might be on display, but the customer is getting something in trade.

Parts laying around somewhere does not equal finished units. That line in Texas needs to start moving soon to turn those parts into cars (unless it is not being used). FYI - Hisun Texas has no job openings for assembly line resources open currently (if line was up, they would always be hiring).

Would you like to make a wager that there will be net new cars at SSSS?

They have already been shipped from the factory. I recall we had this same discussion a year ago. It was said it was ā€œimpossibleā€ for Speed to get cars to SSSS, and they showed up with 7 or so preproduction cars. Those are not the cars they are bringing this time. Maybe one or 2 will be there to show all the changes from a year ago, but the highlight will be the production spec cars.

These cars had price locks at the date of reservation and it was not ever changed. I was wrong about that in 2019, and it is a nice way to do right by patient customers.

The line is moving. No one bought a car to dictate where it would be built or how it would be transported.

Like you said, after payment they have 30 days to deliver. So Speed is either ignorant of the law and opening themselves up to lawsuits, or they are already building cars. Which do you think is more likely?

I think after SSSS the haters will fully transition to ā€œSpeed is an unproven car and your car is going to failā€ and will search out every speed failure. Remember when they said Carl was an ass for doing exactly that regarding the Pro R? šŸ˜‚

Notice the people saying we will ā€œnever get a carā€ and ā€œSpeed will fold tomorrowā€ have completely died off.

Another person that canā€™t spell UTV, has not owned one, and is going to tell you everything about why your Speed UTV sucks Dave.
I have one, what about U? lol I know I know it will be here SOON lol....

Dave, my 3 year comment means LOF has been waiting for the speed car to start production after being introduced Jan 2019, supposedly to start production in 2020, now 2022 3 years 7 months since intro and still no car.

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. See what I mean.

No idea when the car debuted, no idea what the details were, no idea when the cars were originally promised to customers in writing.

Thank you for proving my point again and again.

January 5th 2021 article...If youā€™re a fan of pure sport side-by-sides, then youā€™ve likely heard about Robby Gordonā€™s Speed UTV. Originally announced at the 2019 Sand Sports Super Show in California 14 months ago, the Speed team is finishing up testing in Parker, Arizona, and Glamis, California. In the latest weekly update on the YouTube Speed UTV Channel, Gordon claims that mass production is about to commence to the tune of 40 units a day. Great news for the hundreds of consumers who are already in line for purchase. They also stated they will be producing 4000 units in mid 2021? Point proven...still waiting... lol

I put a deposit on one the day they were debuted.. they said they were going to start building stretched wild cats basically.. wouldnā€™t be ready until t day the following year minimum (their words). Then they started complete with a whole new car?

I was in a wheel chair when I put the deposit down. That was about 3 years ago when I broke my ankle?

So wouldnā€™t it be like 3 years since deposits.. 2 years since production started and they are one year late on an entirely new car? Or am I missing something?

Small thing like a world wide pandemic might have played some factors in that? If they are a year behind and getting ready to make deliveries isnā€™t that pretty good?

Are you saying this stuff to get LOFā€™s goat.. or do ya really believe it?

When was the SSSS in 2019?
A hint is not in Janā€¦ not even close to Jan.

Cars were set to be delivered Q1 2021 in writing on the sales paperwork.

For someone that thinks they deal in FACT, your opinions are built on information that seems completely devoid of facts.

You arenā€™t missing anything. He does not know what he is talking about. Itā€™s been almost 3 years since the car debuted, and based on my paperwork, the car will be about 18 months late, but better in every way than what we were told 3 years ago.

He just wants ā€œSpeed to succeedā€ but wants my car specifically to fall off the transporter.

Yes to get LOFs goat...I knew there would be delays just as there are delays in most other products, he was just to predictable and I had to do it.

Well cool to see that they may hit the market finally

And youā€™ll understand how theyā€™re going to get around the 30 day thing right? They will not take any deposits until the vehicle is completed and shipped to the local pick up to avoid the 30 day rules

Dude, they say they are calling people to start getting payment in full next week. The entire team is looking to secure rental housing in Havasu for deliveries over the next couple months.

What you outlined is what they have done up to this point. They are getting ready to deliver. They wouldnā€™t be looking at renting houses if cars were going to be sitting in yards or if parts were going to be sitting in China.

Heā€™s the know all, duh. Where you been.

But if they are, thatā€™s sweet for those expecting. So 40 cars a day starts when?
TBD - pending an RDP inmate with deposit 1-250 getting a call next week and sharing details.
All the post said is ā€œcalls will be made to 1-250 to discuss next stepsā€. No one knows what next steps are.

It was probably more CGI Iā€™m sure. If the inmate that was privy to that info wants to talk more about it, they can.

If they are starting to ask for payment next week, have 30 days to produce cars from receiving payment, and are looking to stay in Havasu for deliveries in October, letā€™s use the logic of the RDP masters of international business and supply chains - They started producing these back in March to get them here by October. šŸ‘šŸ»

By the way they said they need to produce like 67 a day just to catch up. Iā€™m sure having factories on multiple continents and in multiple countries will slow that down.

I'll report back as soon as I get my phone call. I believe Dave has one in that range as well.

Side note, on RDC, someone is claiming that RG is out of the Hastings building now. Anyone confirm that there is still Speed stuff inside of it?

Speed stuff was visible in the garage door last weekend. 2 weeks ago they were saying the building has a For Lease sign on itā€¦ it did not.
