I agree with this statement…The true test of the Speed car will be a year or so after the cars hit the market and the consumers begin using and abusing them. Feedback on reliability and product support will make or break the future of this car.
I’m saying Grads was the biggest pile of shit on this site and since he’s left, you’ve taken the title.Welcome back buttercup!
So yore saying you may be sucking RGs dick in a couple years?

I feel like these Speed threads could be a case study for psychology students.
So who’s right and who’s wrong here?
About the car or mental stability?
1. You're right (LOF) about the car
2. You may be mentally unstable as you make these threads about you and your insults of other members/posters
In high school, things got settled in moments, not months.Like high school all over again![]()

I have a base El Diablo master #2153, I'm unclear about the new info on the base models being de-contented. Is it only on the new orders, or is mine going to be de-contented? LOF, anyone have this info?
I saw some responses from Robby and or Todd, that if you originally ordered the Base, it will come as advertised back when you ordered, so it should have the good shocks and whatever else.
Call Speed, they will tell you.
Conner called me back, early order base cars will have the bypass shocks, but will have plastic seats and possibly only 3 point belts. This I believe is accurate. But I would call and verify.

Does this mean they are under delivering?Conner called me back, early order base cars will have the bypass shocks, but will have plastic seats and possibly only 3 point belts.

This is pretty much what they said originally, maybe minus harnesses if they end up being 3 point.
They always said the base car will have various trim and features the LE and RG cars won’t.
A base car with the upgraded IBP shocks is a killer deal.
I still can’t wrap my mind around how people Think it’s a killer deal when NO ONE has any idea of what the final product will be ??? WTF LOL ….what Robbie built and showed everyone up front WILL NOT be what you get trust me. And yes I will put money where my mouth is!! I’m sure it will be a great first car for him but there will be teething pains just like every other car that comes to light. And lots of items that had to be re designed to meet the price point that he’s trying to come in at. I’d wait till it actually gets in customers hands to say it’s all that or it’s a killer dealand yes I’m a Polaris guy to the core so I’m biased, I do not hate on what he’s doing at all I just think people need to be realistic on what they are actually going to receive.
For the price I am getting a El Jefe for compared to todays prices, I'm willing to take the risk.
How dare you speak the truthSo this thread is almost 3 months old and the cars were coming off the assembly line, just waiting to get graphics.
Cars should be starting to roll out by now to people who ordered, right??
First car deliveries are scheduled for September. So this thread is almost 3 months old and the cars were coming off the assembly line, just waiting to get graphics.

So now they’ll ship thousands of engine assemblies to Texas to be assembled?Pretty soon. They are showing tons and tons of parts. They just did the factory walk through showing finishing and assembling some parts. Those original cars were the first production cars used to validate and finalize all parts 100%.
I don’t see them sitting on thousands of engine assemblies for 6 more months.![]()

The front Diff was a huge bad ass billet piece and now looks to be a cast part ? Is the frame still chromoly ? My point is not one single Consumer has received their car so I think it’s premature to say it’s the same as in 2019 thats all I’m saying. The car already has much more than what was originally promised in 2019 that is why.
As of now the only thing that has been taken out of what was originally promised is the belt temp sensor. If anyone else can think of anything else, correct me here.
There was not even a base model car until mid 2020. You are a Polaris guy, they don’t put the Live Valve shocks on the base model. It sounds like they are giving all the preorders what they agreed to for the agreed price. And going forward the base cars will have different shocks to meet the price point.
You want to put up some money that we won’t get the features currently outlined? What do you have in mind?![]()
Well I don’t have much to add but these screen shots lol first one of the post. Cars off the assembly line waiting for graphics from speed itself. I believe this to be false. View attachment 1138813
Next screen shot is where Dave and others said it was the first run of 50 cars. I also believe this to be false. View attachment 1138814
Here we are in late July and September seems like it isn’t going to happen just a vibe I get.
Question for the players? I’m not trying to stir the pot here. I really would like to know your spot #(s) and when you really think you will get your car. Be honest here. And please don’t be a smart ass and say something like whenever it gets here is when I will have it. Or it doesn’t matter or anything like that.
I am not a player in the game. I do like the car and think it is real and badass but I also think there is a decent chance of it never even panning out.
Putting a no nonsense date for car # 500 or so. I am thinking March of ‘23
I think some of what speed says publicly has been very misleadingThis again? Now you are trying to say everything they’ve been showing publicly is a lie? And that after all this they won’t make the cars?
I’ll have both by the end of the year. I’m thinking first one in October, #497.

This is true. It was never going to billet. Was always cast. I can’t remember if they said there was going to be a billet option though? That would be cool for the big ballersThe front bulkhead was always going to be cast. They said that from day 1 when they showed the parts and design. The billet ones are on the $100k hand built race ones, and were used for development. I don’t think they ever said the chassis was chromoly (could be wrong here)? It’s a $30k-$40k SXS. Literally all we are hoping for is a car that we don’t have to put $20k into like a Polaris, that is at least as reliable and performs well. As stated, those that jumped in thought the same as I do. It is cheap enough to take the risk.
You said you wanted to put your money where your mouth was but I understand you have not followed this thing 100%. So what do you think we aren’t getting? Everything that has been in the test cars is what was talked about.
