The true test of the Speed car will be a year or so after the cars hit the market and the consumers begin using and abusing them. Feedback on reliability and product support will make or break the future of this car.

RG is the king of run it till it breaks!
Havasu area is VERY RUFF, Ruff and more RuFF , the terrain/ trails are hard, the wash board and rocks are the best place to test a new car.

Ford, Nissan and a Few others have unofficially tested In ocotillo wells during summer months! OW isn’t as hard as Havasu by a long shot!

I saw some responses from Robby and or Todd, that if you originally ordered the Base, it will come as advertised back when you ordered, so it should have the good shocks and whatever else.

Call Speed, they will tell you.

Conner called me back, early order base cars will have the bypass shocks, but will have plastic seats and possibly only 3 point belts.

This is pretty much what they said originally, maybe minus harnesses if they end up being 3 point.

They always said the base car will have various trim and features the LE and RG cars won’t.

A base car with the upgraded IBP shocks is a killer deal.

I still can’t wrap my mind around how people Think it’s a killer deal when NO ONE has any idea of what the final product will be ??? I’m sure it will be a great first car for him but there will be teething pains just like every other car that comes to light. And lots of items that had to be re designed to meet the price point that he’s trying to come in at. Pretty soon. They are showing tons and tons of parts. They just did the factory walk through showing finishing and assembling some parts. Those original cars were the first production cars used to validate and finalize all parts 100%.

I don’t see them sitting on thousands of engine assemblies for 6 more months.

That is how it’s gonna work. All subassemblies go to Texas for assembly. They claim that after launch they will be looking at a new factory, likely in the Phoenix area, but definitely somewhere in the Southwest.

Next screen shot is where Dave and others said it was the first run of 50 cars. I also believe this to be false.

Here we are in late July and September seems like it isn’t going to happen just a vibe I get.


Question for the players? I’m not trying to stir the pot here. I really would like to know your spot #(s) and when you really think you will get your car. Be honest here. And please don’t be a smart ass and say something like whenever it gets here is when I will have it. Or it doesn’t matter or anything like that.

I am not a player in the game. I do like the car and think it is real and badass but I also think there is a decent chance of it never even panning out.

Putting a no nonsense date for car # 500 or so. I am thinking March of ‘23

It seems the people without a car are more concerned about when they will be delivered. I want them to take the time needed to do it right. Not rush to deliver it because you want a ride in mine

This is true. It was never going to billet. Was always cast. I can’t remember if they said there was going to be a billet option though? That would be cool for the big ballers

It is an upgrade part, yes. It will be on all the race cars.

you would think they would have a few of these ” hand built race cars “ out in the public by now!

it would be worth the 100k to get it 1st months before anyone and then avoid the production line process
