This here ^^^ is why I ask myself why people continue to argue with LOF. Everyone here that attacks LOF is running a fool’s errand. Simply put if does not “exist” Why Engage? LOF position has been very clear from the start he does not care if it comes in 1 month or 10years or at all, his deposit was a gamble and he knew from day one. Personally I think he already got his money’s worth just based on the pot stirring that has occurred for the almost 10,000 posts combined on this subject. I do enjoy the cannon fodder daily. It is beyond entertaining for me since I have no dog in the fight.

My takeaway on the live show

He said 5-8 weeks. That is damn near shipping time. He also said problem with oil system that has to be addressed so delay with retooling the part ( possible work around for the 200 in stock)

Nothing is built because of the uncertainty of the epa cert. so cars still need parts to come in ( some are already there)and assembly and ship. 12-15 weeks out.

Carb cert has zero visibility. The testing has been done that is for sure but who knows how long it will take to get the actual cert.

Damn near zero testing with 35” tires (250 miles or so)

With less than a week before thanksgiving. It’s looking like another blown date by speed. Keep in mind they had the EPA cert in hand at time of saying 5-8 weeks. There has been little to no info on deliveries since that statement was made as well.

Until we have CARB certification, we are unable to start deliveries. Now that we have EPA certs, we are hoping CARB will release our certs soon. Until that date, we are unable to share any delivery targets.

If that was the case, why would any company in their right mind hold off delivering product and revenue because of a cert in one state?

No, that is a Speed problem. If you can’t sell in the largest market you are F’d.
If you have a deposit holder who say ‘No’ to being skipped, that could open a huge liability.

Also while CARB can limit sales, it can also stop cars from being used in the state (current rulings are heading in that direction). Whoever is the money behind this operation could stay no more production runs until that is solved. No CA sales and this Operation is closed before it opens

Yep agreed. He’s got all next year to prove the cars. I’d like to see them go race and be fully prepped. I don’t expect them to have that kind of bandwidth for awhile.
