Watch out for bike racks in the parking lot
2 dizzy "Jersey" goils took 15 minutes to put locks on their schwinns. Are you kidding me? Seriously worried about bike theft in kcb?

Whatever. I could see if it was in front of the Walgreens off the island.

I've heard the traffic to/from the Keys can get ugly. Wouldn't it be easier to run the boat to Miami??
Any excuse to run that boat would suffice! I think they need to go looking for limes with it. Then again, with that view off the patio, why travel?

OK, silly question for the Great White Northerners. Why would you leave a sunny beach with a boat at the dock, to go back to a place Eskimos think is too cold? Family, business, blah, blah, blah...sanity, health...sun?! I'm confuddledo_O

Damn your own lime tree. You better look into a keg to burn through all the limes. LOL. Great looking projects and the shushi is making me hungry.

Very jealous of you guys right now! My girlfriend and I had a week long trip to Florida planned during the Miami boat show this year. We were going to arrive a little early spend a couple days at the hotel on the beach in Sunny Ilses then explore the boat show for a couple days and then head down the keys. This was going to be a dream vacation for me as I’ve wanted to explore Miami and the Keys forever and the Miami boat show is on the bucket list. But we found out we’re having our first kid in mid April and had to cancel the trip. I’m sure I’ll make it there one day and if I’m lucky maybe even own a house there:D

Awsome thread btw!

@TripleB , asparagus grows really well around here every spring which I’m sure you know. That looks like a great meal that needs to be duplicated this summer at Hula HQ 2.0 on his dock. I’ll bring the wild aspergrass, you bring the yard bird tits, and Hula can supply the beer.

So getting back to this shop tour.

Stainless marine makes a whole pile of different parts for your marine application. Manifolds, sea strainers, battery boxes, tab and drive indicators, set back brackets in a whole slew of different configurations. From a single to quads, they have a bracket for your outboard boat, and makes all these parts in house.

Here's a couple pics of them making sea strainer lids on one of their cnc lathes.

These parts start out as 1" thick pieces of polycarbonate squares. First operation is done in a cnc mill.

All of their parts are fabricated in house, and polished in house as well. The setback bracket parts all start out as flat sheet stock and are cut out on a cnc plasma. I was told this machine has a capacity of 1/2" stainless.

There are various press brakes, punch presses, shears, etc.

Stainless Marine is quite capable of producing just about anything you'd need for rigging. I was really surprised at the size of their facility, and number of employees they had working.

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled programming. ;)

Yup. I haven't made a decision what color I want it powder coated, so I picked it up raw aluminum. I have a guy up in cheeseland that does awesome powder coat work, so I'll have him fo it when I decide what color itll be. :)
