Oh and if it hasn’t had the Rube Goldberg transfer case mess changed, look into getting a Novak cable set up. Best thing I ever did to both 05 LJ’s.

Dana 44 rear axle with track lock. Dana super 30 high pinion front axle with ARB air locker. Forged superior axles.

oh nice

I had one of those factory D44's I swapped into my XJ before the 1tons. Sweet setup, sounds like you got some great parts under that.

When I bought it, it had the Dana 35 rear and the Dana 30 split front axle with vacuum. That was the first thing to come out.

yup, that was just like my 89 xj.

after getting left stranded by that lame vac lock assembly up front I just ended up shimming it into the "locked" position

Ok, so, I’m back in the jeep club. I remembered the two finger steering wheel wave and everything. This makes number 5. Clean lil jeep, picked it up for $10k

I see you are unfamiliar with the finer things in life - Toyota Landcruisers.

edit; I'm joking, I've seen pictures of your boat (boats?), I know you have good taste. A landcruiser is like a Schiada
Toyota guy here, Three 4runners and and 80 series, Jeeps feel like kit cars made by high school kids. But you pay the Tax on either. They command money

🤣 🤣

Congrats, I’ll be looking for something similar around April for my youngest boys first ride.

And a 6 speed manual is often a tough sell, deduct 2G often

Two ways to look at it. I wouldn’t buy anything with an automatic. Of course I drive an 18 speed as my daily. If you’ve ever owned a jeep, and live in the mountains you’d understand. The auto is a total slug going up the hill. Try finding a stick shift dodge. Impossible to find, and when you see one, they’re gone in minutes.

nice score for a Rubicon price wise. I am of the automatic crowd, but each to his own. When I was rock crawling I found it was easier to negotiate obstacles without a clutch and gas and brake pedal. I know people that have a hand throttle on shifter, but still prefer to ease into it without burning a clutch. I get the 18 speed. Never owned or drove a big truck with an automatic.
