Can you stop posting stuff like this please. My piggy bank isn't big enough:)

This is the real rock one we’re working on in Glendora. Hard to tell from pics. But those rocks are nearly 9ft tall above top pool ( about 15ft from top of rocks to lower play pool ) Top Pool entire depth is over 8ft so they can jump off rocks into pool. Top Pool is vanishing edge into lower play pool. And there is a commercial water park slide that is 60ft or something like that going from up behind rocks and dropping into the lower play pool. Pics at this point really don’t do this thing justice, it is hug. The upper pool is nearly the size of an average backyard pool View attachment 659377 View attachment 659378

I should've had him do my RV pad like I originally planned. I wouldn't have been out there the night before they poured with my transit adjusting the forms  I wouldn't have had to call my buddy over to help me lay out the diamond cut pattern or teach someone how to get a right triangle
Won't make that mistake again

Nope you sure wouldn't. My retaining wall came out so badass. A few months later, we raised the property border walls a couple courses.

Everything was done when he said it would and it looks like peeps that built it knew what they were doing. As a craftsman myself, I liked that.

I don't want to pay someone to do a job and look back at it and think, "I could have done better"

Its absolutely beautiful! Little landscape and we will be able to relax and enjoy.

All I can say is don’t wait to make memories, pools are a great way to bring families togeather.

And above all call Tim for a pool, he lives and breathes this stuff!

Thank you Tim and the Socal Team!

I live in Apple Valley. What would it take to have you come look at my backyard and see what we can do?
Money, lol

Actually Apple valley with out typical cajon pass traffic isn’t that far. With traffic it’s a hell no. :D

Iv got a large project we bid up there. If he pulls the trigger then I’d be willing to do both at same time

Message me your info.
I’ll have Julian set up meeting to see what it is your looking to have done.
See you if we can work something out that works for all of us.

A neighbor classmate of my oldest has a pool with these exact lights over it. Same ones that are in our yard. I went over their house and all of the kids were in the pool.

Both of her parents are enginerds so I thought it was strange they would do something like that.

I specifically asked about the lights being over the pool and they both looked at me like I had a dick sticking out of my forehead.

I then expressed my concern about the kids being in the pool with the lights on to my lovely wife and she vetoed me.

Cant fuckin win sometimes.

I am happy someone else thinks the same.

Seeing those pictures I got the same uneasy feeling but I wasn't going to say shit and risk getting publically lambasted here by the resident experts.

Brian

Note on orange remodel.

I do not encourage people to do lights like that above any water feature. Potentially life threatening in the right/wrong circumstances

If what ever lights are hanging from fails, bad
If someone uses a metal pole for like brushing or rake in pool and hits a light bulb while on, bad
If bulb broke and a person is able to come in contact with inside, bad

It’s pretty much equal to hanging a hair dryer over a full bathtub.
Just waiting for the shit show to happen.

What would you estimate this would cost if you work with my pool builder in Las Vegas. Planned seating for 8.

Yard has unlimited access, you can back a semi up to the construction site. Grotto is my #1, The one with the bar to the left is number two but the grotto I was thinking of a slide wrapping around the back. Pool will be about 17x 30.

17x30 is no where near the scale of that pool in pics w grotto w barstools and what looks like Bbq inside
But I’d say you’ll likely be 50k range on Pool alone, plus rock work 20k-75k many many variables, plus deck, Bbq, firepit, etc....

I can get the pool done for 40K, no issues, it is the rock work grotto that needs some expertise like yours. Grotto no bar will work. No BBQ, just spa inside prefer natural rock for top shelf, most of it can come from Hurricane, UT.

Well not sure who’s doing Pool, but you may double check that price.
There is some serious surcharges/details needed in the pool and for real rock grottos.

My guys for real rock are super picky for areas they’ll go. I asked them couple months ago when you mentioned before if they had any interest in Vegas job if money wasn’t an issue.
They didn’t even entertain the idea. I can check again I’ll let you know

Also if getting stone from Utah make sure not a sandstone. Tends to fail decently quick in Pool environments.

Hit up moody here on the boards, he’s a faux rock guy. I’m sure he can point in right direction for real rock guy

Got you on that rock, but Utah has endless types, some are very good for water contact. I am trying to re create Red Rock as I see the mountain out my back yard/windows. As to 40G, yes, he is good, already built one for me. Price is good mainly due to access, etc. They have 2 guys who do specalized rock work in Vegas, one is too busy, other is not impressive. Pools are taking much longer now, shortage of concrete due to all of the construction, Raiders, Wynn, and thousands of homes going up non stop. Not to mention they are short 5-10K in workers.

Nationwide Pool Design Las Vegas. I've done one pool and replaster and decking on another for me always came out well what an exceptional price I deal directly with the owner. He doesn't do a large amount of jobs but is best known for doing a complete remake of the lazy river pools at the MGM Grand.

My rear yard. Upper Photo rear, I have no neighbors on the backside it's a very small street that has exceptionally light travel provides me an unlimited view of red rock.

The actual wall on my side is only 4'4" tall it's about 6 1/2 feet on the other side. Lot is about 150' wide, the lower photo is the kitchen side of the house that has 47 feet.

if you see the windows along the kitchen to the left, that's going to have a 20 x 20 awning manufactured by us using powder coated extruded aluminum. And up against that front wall is going to be an outdoor fireplace probably 18 feet wide for the cool winter's.

The far end of the lot and the other side of the house has all RV but I'm in expand my garage another 40 feet probably and still have another 5000 feet of yard space it's just going to be rock and decoration.

Thanks t the board members that gave me some great advise in this subject matter. I am pulling the trigger for a pool at my Vegas house today.

The design will be; Overall is 55', 4' deep center. Beach entry with wet deck, 30' X 17' volleyball free form main pool, large grotto that will have a 9' wide sunken bar, 5' bench permitting a view of the volleyball game, with 6'6" interior height and hidden entrance not visible from the house. The grotto will have the spa inside that is shielded from view of the main pool section for privacy at just 4" above pool height. Bar will have refer, sink, etc., LED lights. Outside of grotto stairs in back with slide down north side exiting in deep section of pool. All drains, deck lids will be hidden. Deck will be a very cool plank, Shellock desert series, about 30 degrees cooler than cool deck. Man made from natural materials.

Looking for something like that for my house in La Marida!! But I don't think my setbacks will allow for that.

Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Most cities have 5ft set backs.
Huntington Beach and Long Beach have zero setbacks so it makes it nice to utilize that space

We have the sport pool and we love it. I wouldn't go back to the old deep end design way too much fun with the deep end in the middle. Sounds like an awesome setup.

Ya ya great pool, house, property.

But the real MVP here is the garage. Or should I say man heaven! I believe 110ft deep double rv wide garage for big toy side and I believe 6 or 8 car garage connected to that for cars. Full temp controlled and finished everything.

Jack very well may be Senor Dos Equis, he doesn’t always need a garage but you better believe when he does he can park what ever the hell he wants indoors! :D Cheers to you fine sir!

HallettBill may recognize this backyard, pretty much done just in time for the holidays.
This project started out as a simple plaster and tile job, as you can see from the before and after pics (that loaded out of order). Plaster and Tile turned quickly into a complete backyard makeover from an 80s backyard into a resort for staycations when he’s not at the river, flying, or out in the desert.

Well here we go, day two in Las Vegas. Pool is 53' long and 13' wide at the most narrow part, 4.6" deep. Hidden drains, three 4.5 HP pumps with 5" lines, all variable speed controlled by a pad.
All Pentair with double salt systems, massive heater and spa booster.

Pool center is a 13' x 30' volleyball section, 9' wet deck at south end.

West side of pool is a 20' wide by 8.5' tall grotto with slide in north side that has the 8 person spa inside. Grotto has a 9' wide sumken bar, 4 in pool seats and a bench seat facing north to allow viewing of the volleyball game. Bar will have Beverage Air bar back frig, and 65" HDTV 4K.
Pool plaster is a blended quartz to match Red Rock Canyon that is the backdrop we see of our window and is the mountain backdrop for the pool.

Bar has a 250 strand fiber optics so the ceiling will look like stars at night.

Over grotto entry is a 6' wide waterfall, led lighting and a 250,000 BTU, 5' long flame to give a Mirage Hotel sort of look.

Glendora project, this was a collaboration build of some of the best guys in the industry in So California for by far my largest customer. Some have shown interest in wanting to see this pool complete. Owner is pretty private. So here is some sneak peaks of pool nearly complete. Still final touch ups to finish. Landscape to complete. 60ft commercial slide to crane into place behind rockwork. Programming the crazy amount of pumps, actuators, salt, ozone, 2 heaters, 2 filters, 2 in floor cleaning systems, excessive amount of lights, bubblers, laminar jets, the list goes on and on.

Looking to make my pool a deeper blue.
