If Avis is more than $99 it’s cheaper to catch the shuttle… Havasu Vegas eXpress and there’s one other one I can’t think of off the top my head. I’ve done them both more times than I can count.

Rent a car at the Vegas airport. Use Avis, you can turn those in at the Havasu airport. We prefer going thru Searchlight to the 40. The Denny’s in Searchlight is decent.
Last time I walked into that Denny’s I won $900 in about 15 minutes.. local guy who had fed the machine before me was not happy…vocal about it and as I walked out I played Barbie girl on TouchTunes app 👀🤣

There’s a couple of shuttles that run back and forth but I’m not sure what their names are anymore.

Let me talk to Stacy and see if she’s up for a one day vegas vacay

Fastest.. head towards Henderson, take 95 south through Searchlight to Needles @ the 40. It’s a little under 2 hours of driving the speed limit.
This!!!!! Unless there are rain storms in the area. Then at the time of travel pick the route around the cell.

Just read your whole post. We have done the one way rental. It used to our standard plan when it used to be economical. But the last time we did it it was about $200. So we changed to just drive our car and leave it at the airport while traveling.

We need to all chip in for a beater car that can be used by members and left on one side or the other. We and in addition our son is back and forth we to airports at least once a month these days.

I’ve done the Shuttle, but it is a PIA. Only arrives and departs at a particular time. Rent a car at Avis and you’re on your own schedule. Be sure it’s Avis. Believe they’re the only one with a LHC return site.

Pretty sure enterprise has an option to drop… I think it’s on acoma. That’s who I have used. But it’s been YEARS

We used Avis at the airport in Havasu. Left the car in Vegas at the airport. I’m sure you can do the opposite. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Through Searchlight to 40 is the fastest. When we go from Parker we go through Vidal and Needles to the 40.

Do not speed through searchlight, you’ll get a ticket for sure. They don’t fuck around at all.

I’d walk before ever doing a cent of business with the havasu location of enterprise.

Avis is seamless…I’ve done it probably 25 times at least. Have done it from Phx as well when we’ve needed one of the cars from the lake.

Wrong state.

But I’ve been pulled over through there twice for 5 over. I shit you not.
Yup, your good at 3 over to not get pulled over, at 5 you will probably get pulled over but no ticket as 5 over is hard to make stick, 7 over you're toast. Uncle was a cop in Boulder and that is how he explained it to me.

Friend of mine is one of the NHP that has the Searchlight beat. I asked him what the high score was through Searchlight was. He said 76 MPH I think. A trucker that was stoned out of his gourd. Yeah, that douche probably lost his CDL.

North of Searchlight I once got a ticket for doing 72 in the last 200’ of the 65 zone before it becomes 75. IMO - That was one CS ticket. Sunday night 10 pm, no traffic, headed to McCarran to catch a flight. Yes, I said McCarran. For me, that’s what it remains. They can name that tiny airstrip at Searchlight after that POS Harry Reid, if they want. . . .

They’ve flipped 99% of the team at Havasu Enterprise. There’s one person left that’s the same. It appears she may be the problem. I do a lot of one way rentals into Havasu. Amazing how long it takes to get them to check a vehicle in.

Private plane.

if you have to drive, I’d go through Kingman. Cheeper fuel and straighter faster drive.
12 miles farther thru Kingman, mapquest says 6-8 min. longer, and the last time I was over that direction the 93 had a lot of construction.

I drive the Az 93 and Nv 95 a lot. Like all other AZ hwy's the 93 is F'd up, same with the 40 from kingman to Havasu. Take the 95 tru searchlight to needles, skip Laughlin. Set cruise at 88 in Nv and forget, except searchlight. In CA your on your own, F'h that state

One day, years ago while staying at Cottonwood Cove, we got blown out. So we ended up at the tiny Searchlight Historical Museum. About half of it was about some local idiot named “Harry Reid”. At the time, we had no idea who he was. Wish it could have stayed that way.

She IS the problem…but I think it’s a franchise location so nothing is going to change. I do a lot of rentals through avis, quick and easy every time.

Is there really a traffic signal now on 93? Somewhere south of a Willow Beach? Maybe near what was once that Shoot a Machine Gun place, where one of the guys (believe from Havasu?) got shot by a totally novice customer who didn’t know WTF she was doing with the fully auto machine gun?

If you've never made that drive (the 95 way) slow way down at the train tracks, unless they actually finally fixed it.

Yeah I’ve done the Avis one way Vegas to Havi a bunch of times as well.
It’s the only way I’d do it.

Yes just pass the old last stop. And yes, I think it was a 13 year old girl with an uzi. Pulled trigger and kick back rose up over her shoulder.
Totally preventable if, in today's world, the guy could have steadied the girls arms from behind. But the optics, killed him.

Rent from Avis or Enterprise at the Vegas airport and drop the rental car off in Havasu, they both have locations in town.

Edit; if I ever write you for 5 over, you have permission to kick me in the balls.
Reading comprehension sucks. I was thinking the road that leads to Searchlight, not the town itself.

We used to always go this way but you may get stuck on the wrong side of the track waiting for the longest train you've ever seen go by. The last straw for us was when one BROKE DOWN at the crossing and the only way south was to go back through Laughlin and then south! That the way we go now all the time, because of the fckn train!!

This is spot on.I have had 2 incidents with a woman at the Havasu location and don’t use enterprise anymore due to her BS.
