Just left my appointment with my oncologist. It's in remission. The ct scan showed a small mass in one of the lymph nodes but going off the markers he says its most likely scar tissue from it. But my markers are 100% normal. He's gonna see me in 6 weeks for blood work and in a few months we'll have to do another ct scan. Basically start the whole observation process over again. He still wants me to come in tomorrow though for my last short treatment just to finish my program. But other than that my treatments should be finished. Cross your fingers this is end of this nightmare.

What help do you need to ready your boat for DS? Anything we can help you with?

That's good news DJ. I hope you are done for good. But, don't change your ways. Keep eating healthy and treat your body well. Once you get this shit there is always a chance it can return. I'm glad our prayers have been answered. :)

There's not much to do. I just need to service it. Riverbound is gonna get me the oil I need and hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll get down there and do it. I gotta get ahold of Jim Wilkes this week and try and get my prop back too.

Honestly Carl I don't know what to think right now. Probably in a little bit of shock. I'm just ready to put this all behind me.

Thanks Lou. I've got a few other things going on at the moment in my life so this is all a little overwhelming. I know I'm gonna really start feeling good about this really soon. I was so nervous going in today I didn't know what to expect. I actually thought I was gonna get news that I wasn't done with treatment. I'm definitely in a little shock. Going back to work tonight so I think it'll help get my mind back on moving on.

Yes!!! I'll be out there soon to service the boat and hopefully run it a bit. I left Jim Wilkes a message today about getting my old prop or another one back. Hopefully I hear from him soon or else I'm gonna have to hunt one down. I have the old one that came with the boat but it didn't work very well.

No problem, if you can't get it sorted in time we can always go in my Schiada........unless you'd rather not go that fast :D

Getting blood drawn tomorrow morning. Go in for a check up next week to find out results. Cross your fingers. Hoping to find out when I can get this stupid port taken out of my chest too. Be glad when it's gone.

Just a little update. Last blood test was clear. Got a call the other night from my urologist saying he got a fax from my oncologist that I was in remission and he wanted to congratulate me. Thought that was nice of him. Gonna go in next week for a checkup with him just to make sure things are holding up. Almost all side effects from the chemo have wore off. Nauseas gone, hairs coming back etc. only thing I'm dealing with is I've got Tinnitus. Got a referral to a hearing specialist and have to go get it checked out. The ear ringing is really bad and I've suffered some hearing loss. Oncologist says there's a good chance the ringing may go away in time but the hearing loss most likely will be permanent. Crossing my fingers something can be done but not holding my breath. Next ct scan is on June 9th. So hopefully that comes up ok. One other thing I was contemplating whether sharing or not was the depression I've experienced. I was a little embarrassed to share but I feel its good to let others know in case they ever have to go through this hell. Apparently it's normal and could be partly from some other things going on in my life but my oncologist assured me that most experience it and it just takes time for it to pass. I refused when he offered meds to help with it. I'd rather just battle through it on my own. Some days are worse then others but luckily it's not a constant thing. Just need to keep myself busy and it seems to help.

Congratulations on the clear blood work.

Ringing in the ears... tell the Mrs to stop nagging. :p

Depression, most of us have gone through it. Family and friends help. It will pass.

Really glad to hear it Dave.:thumbup:
With many of your "what ifs and what now's" behind you I can only imagine the depression will ease up...the one thing I felt you did absolutely right during the diagnosis/treatment was to keep posting on the forums and staying in touch with friends.:cool
