Chemo. Its some fucked up shit. He says it's the cisplatin that did me in. But there's a reason that they've used it for 50 years.

Did the tingling in your feet, hands and the ear ringing start when you started the drug or after you stopped it?

The ear ringing started around the time I started my third cycle. The hands and feet issue came on about a month after finishing my chemo.

Is the tingling painful like shocks or just numb? Any other strange side effects? Sounds like neurotoxicity and withdrawal, drugs can do some strange shit. I have heard of people coming off illegal drugs and legal drugs having the same sensations. It usually goes away from what I have read. Just be careful the Neurologist may want to put you on drugs for it if it's painful (research all side effects). Some MS patients have a very similar symptoms (tingling) that are painful which is called Neuralgia/Paresthesia (nerve pain).

Not painful at all. Picture you're sittin on the shitter too long and you can feel your feet starting to fall asleep. That's the way they feel. Alllll the time. Lol

Well it's been a little over a year since I started my chemo. Had a ct scan and labs taken last week. Saw my oncologist today. Everything's clear. I still have 2 small shadows of where the Cancer was but they most likely are just residuals as he called it. Like scar tissue. Good news is they've actually gotten smaller since my last Ct scan back in June. And the tumor markers are normal. Bad news is my tingling in my hands and feet are most likely permanent. Along with my ear ringing and hearing issues. But I guess it beats the alternative.

Yes it does. :thumbup::thumbup:

Good to hear man. Research some natural remedies for your ringing and tingling. Its amazing what you can find in nature that reverse almost anything.

Excellent news on the cancer and sorry to hear about the ear ringing. My Dad gets that quite often and not sure what he takes for it.

So I've got this little issue with my hands and feet tingling. So far it hasn't been too bad but lately I've been experiencing something odd in my left hand fingers. They randomly go numb and turn white. Like this.

Well it's gotten worse so I saw my doctor today. Originally they had me on an aspirin regimen to help my circulation but it's not helping. Today he prescribed me some pills that do God knows what and nitroglycerin cream to rub on my hand. Then hands me this explanation of what I've got. Fuck Cancer is all I gotta say.

I would research those drugs before taking them. I would even look at the not very common side effects to see if I could live with them. :(

Looks like it eventually goes away if I read that right.

Since this started as a testicular thing it's good that this weird stuff isn't happening to your RD(Johnson).

My dad had Reynaud's syndrome in his feet for about a year then it just went away.

I hope these issues get better DJ.

I know it's probably not nearly as bad as chemo, but I took Ciprofloxacin for about three months about fifteen years ago, and had a lot of your symptoms except the ringing ears. Most have gotten a lot better over the years, after about 5 to 7 years I was about 90%, just a little today.

Just realized my 2 year anniversary of starting chemo is a few days away. Crazy how fast time has gone by. Seems like it was yesterday. Fuck cancer.

Wow, has it been that long already?
It really does seem like yesterday.

Got to tell you, much respect here.
Working your job through all the treatments and doctors can not have been easy, knowing what it's been like for us, I can't even imagine.

If I had to do it again I probably wouldn't work through that. I was fortunate that the guys at work took care of me though. I was really lucky.

Very happy for you and your family. Stay healthy and go hug that little one because they grow up so fast.
