That’s crazy… . Obviously it would have to have one in the chamber to go off like that?
Is that normal for cops to leave them chambered in their holster??

Umm yes, otherwise it’s an empty gun. That’s crazy… . Obviously it would have to have one in the chamber to go off like that?

Of course not... Barney just takes the bullets out of his pocket when needed.
One of my friends is horrified I carry a P365XL that is not fitted with a safety.Umm yes, otherwise it’s an empty gun.
If I leave every weapon I carry with one in the hole, i sure hope the hell a peace officer is as well. That’s crazy… . Obviously it would have to have one in the chamber to go off like that?

Why would they carry with bullets in the gun? Sounds dangerous. That’s crazy… . Obviously it would have to have one in the chamber to go off like that?

I put a manual safety on my P365XL . Have no problem drawing it and flicking the safety in the same motion .One of my friends is horrified I carry a P365XL that is not fitted with a safety.
My position...if I unholster it, I'm going to pull the trigger. I don't need to be screwing around pushing a button.
I'm left handed. It doesn't work as well for me.I put a manual safety on my P365XL . Have no problem drawing it and flicking the safety in the same motion .
I have the same, and added a safety as well. I also changed out the take-down lever, because the stock one on the SAS was difficult to use.I have an Sig 365 SAS model. The first thing I did was install a manual safety.
The bullets make the gun too heavy.Of course not... Barney just takes the bullets out of his pocket when needed.

Well, if it is a defect of the weapon, it could be considered a negligent discharge because of the manufacturer. I think if a gun malfunctioned due to a part failure, that would be truly accidental. Bad deal all around. So how do the folks that say there's no such thing as an accidental discharge, only negligent discharges feel about this?
Same with my 2022 .40.I carry my P238 with one in the chamber and the safety off. Since it’s a 1911 style weapon, I still have to pull the hammer back to get the first shot off.
And only when Andy tells him its OK first.Of course not... Barney just takes the bullets out of his pocket when needed.
I also changed out the mag release for an extended one.I have the same, and added a safety as well. I also changed out the take-down lever, because the stock one on the SAS was difficult to use.
How would you like to be shot to death while racking your slide for dramatic effect?Always "one in the pipe" , Love these shows and movies where they pull the weapon and work the slide .............

Same with my P238, it’s my daily and I always have one in the chamber except the hammer is cocked, safety on. My W. German made P220 is still one of my favorites in .45I carry my P238 with one in the chamber and the safety off. Since it’s a 1911 style weapon, I still have to pull the hammer back to get the first shot off.
If you don’t keep one in the chamber and you carry wtf is the point. That’s crazy… . Obviously it would have to have one in the chamber to go off like that?

CorrectI carried my P226 everyday for 29 years, this seems like a P320 issue more than all Sig's, correct? View attachment 1456436

In my opinion, the safety mechanism works, my P229 fell out of its holster while I was bending over to get money out of a floor safe, and it landed on the hammer. Saw my life flash before my eyes as I unsuccessfully, tried to catch it before it hit the ground.I carried my P226 everyday for 29 years, this seems like a P320 issue more than all Sig's, correct? What, are you still 830.3 from the old daysI can’t speak for other cops, but I have to call my Sgt and ask for permission to put bullets in my gun.
We had something like this happen where an Officers jacket tie thingy with the plastic adjuster thingy got caught in the trigger guard and pulled the trigger. ….oops.
Only while they’re off duty, dancing in a night club. That’s crazy… . Obviously it would have to have one in the chamber to go off like that?

The P238 is meant to be carried cocked and locked like a 1911. Hammer fired SA gun vs striker fired. Completely different guns. This has going on for a while, the DOD tested them and came to the conclusion that when dropped, the P320 has a tendency to accidentally discharge.
My Fiancée is a Sig fan and has a P238, the iron sites came misaligned from the factory, apparently that is a common issue.
My buddies know this and send a link every time a P320 accidentally discharges to talk shit, I’ve received multiple links over the last couple years lol.
I know, it’s just them talking shit on the brand. Dude banter lolThe P238 is meant to be carried cocked and locked like a 1911. Hammer fired SA gun vs striker fired. Completely different guns.
Fuck em. Sig builds quality stuff. They will straighten out the P320. My first backup gun was a German built P230 that ran like a top. My newest carry is a P365. I have never had an issue with any of my Sigs. Great guns.I know, it’s just them talking shit on the brand. Dude banter lol
Unless Joe citizen trains, which every gun owner should regularlyYes
Cops and trained professionals always carry chambered.
It’s necessary for them to be ready to shoot at all times.
A manual safety or not is a personal choice.
Cops also open carry, with good holsters that prevent trigger pull.
When Joe Citizen chambers one and sticks it in his belt he’s just asking to shoot his own dick off…and sometimes does.
