Paints checked.. I’m sure the front seats are fucked because they have covers on them.. but the rest looks pled ok?

12.5? For a diesel van? Is this the holy grail? I’m thinking about it..

Ok I will ask. What good purpose would that thing serve that one of your existing vehicles couldn’t? Seems like a money pit. But shit if I had RD money I would light mine on fire. 😂

If I could find a 4x4 diesel van that could be converted I’d sell my dually..

Or a big motor 4x4 that already has a bad ass conversion like a southern comfort model.

Look at conversion vans on Phoenix CL. So bad ass. That’s one of my next purchases. Perfect river commuter or overnight setup.

Only 2wd though...

Heres a 4WD one.

A 4x4 that needs a little work for $22K

For the price of a used one it is not worth messing with that 95 for $12K. That one for $22k is a better place to start.. there is cheap bodywork in town.

It's a 95... I'd be on the hunt for a 99½ and newer. Bigger turbo. The trucks came with factory intercooler 99½+, wonder if it's the same for the van.

seems way overpriced for a 1995. trying to cash in on the latest "van life" trend
It's really weird. Been looking for a certain old school diesel Ford, so been perusing CL. The 7.3 trucks out here are bringing, on average, about 50% more than what the similar truck is listed for in Cali. My neighbor sold a 95 F250, 4x4 extended cab longed in November. 200k on the clock, ranch truck with a gooseneck...for 14k!
Maybe it's an AZ thing, dunno. In 95 I was working at a dealer. The Powerstroke was an 8,000$ option. An F350 cc drw was about 38k I think.

Same damn truck is listed on CL in Phoenix for the same money...with 200k! The world's gone stupid!

When a new one is $75K+ with a 6 month wait, that is what happens. Same reason my near 20 year old boat is worth now about what it was when new... because a new one is $90k.

If you're a small company that does service work its the perfect vehicle. Lots of room, plenty of power, and has a street appearance as a regular vehicle instead of work vehicle. I've had a good amount of guys show up to a job to sawcut concrete and they pull up in one of these with a liftgate hanging off the back. Offload their 1000 lb. saw and go to work. Also have about another 2K lbs. of coring equipment and water inside as well.

This is true of everything right now. What's odd to me is seeing the asking prices being lower in Cali than here. More money in Cali maybe, so they want newer? Just abnormal to see things listed higher here, as in a friend and I were thinking of bringing some here to sell.

I think this is a situation where there are just more available here in CA and it is driving the prices down here a bit.

My buddy and I had a conversation about this couple years ago. We were both from California and moved to AZ and noticed the same thing. I go to California to buy stuff because of availability and price. His thought was California is a "disposable mindset" state and people just want stuff gone. Maybe because there is a surplus, no room to park, and CARB? In AZ everyone has a "non disposable mindset" and just love to collect everything and want top dollar. Maybe because there no surplus, room to park, and no CARB?

ive been looking for a chevy or gmc g20, in my search (entire us) i have seen the fords listed all over the place price wise. frequently see early 2000's e350 with deisel priced similiar to this 95. i dont know about the older trucks as i havent paid attention to the ford trucks much.
I haven't venture too far so to speak. Hadn't thought to see what the nationwide outlook would be on the same.

Post up pics of Ryan’s van👍
Not a diesel but no one would mind a souped up and stroked 460 one bit😎

He sold it a few years ago.
84ish 1ton, Built 460, Fast Fuel injected, rebuilt tranny, trac lock rear, Dana 60, crossover steering, all new Interior.
Wanna say he only had 24k miles on the build. Sold it cheap at $20k to fund his business.

My boss used to own a manufactured home business and had about 5 vans with 7.3’s, they were all late 90’s models. He gave those things away.

You don't need a 7.3 to take your toon to the ramp. You could find a clean V10 for less money. Judging by the craftmanship used on the fender to clear those tires I'd say you'll have plenty of opportunities to throw money at that thing. If it was a 7.3 with 4x4 and EB you be looking at a holy grail candidate, but not this.

And yes Camburg's twin I-beam kit works great. Mine is a 5.4 with 217K miles been all over Baja and everywhere else I want for the last 7 years. I love this van...
