Where did you end up putting the MAP sensor? Looks cool.
Bitchen work. You thought about how to trim it ?
Good choice on dash. Im not a fan of my checker plate.Finished up the holes for my dash panel this morning, and had a few odds and ends to finish on the seat bases.
They are getting painted tomorrow. View attachment 564447
Thanks Jimmy. How's your boat coming along?Good choice on dash. Im not a fan of my checker plate.
Did ya go SS or aluminium?
As far as how to terminate the vinyl where it wraps around from the top? Yep. Going to run small strips of aluminum all the way around. I can't come up with anything else. I don't want to add another thickness of plywood, etc... any thoughts?
Cant see any other way. I see the tubes penetrate the hatch. Is that for enclosure volume? You're going to have to pinch down 2" of foam though?
Might wait n see how yours turns out then readdress mine after i get the seats recovered. Thanks Jimmy. How's your boat coming along?
The switch panels are ss, I had those water jetted last year. The big panel is aluminum and it's getting painted Orange to match the stripes on the boat.
Again using marglass to create a filet. Waiting for this to cure so I can finish it up without it moving. View attachment 562643

Picked up my trailer from the sand blaster dude.
First order of business was to weld all the holes sgut from the old lights. View attachment 564624
The new clearance lights I want to use need a 3/4" hole, and the existing were 7/8". So I cut up some small pieces and welded them in place behind the hole, then filled the void with weld. Made it flat with a flap disc on the 4"grinder. View attachment 564627

I also welded all the old rivet holes shut, and ground those flat as well. All in, all done, it took an hour. View attachment 564630
After finishing that up, I pulled it back outside, and set it up on some 55 gal drums to get the epoxy primed squirted on it. View attachment 564631
The primer I used is a water born/amine based epoxy. It'll make for some great cross linking with the white axalta imron topcoat I'm applying tomorrow. The imron uses an isocyanate in it to cure it, and also give it it's durability qualities. Amines and isocyanates get along really well.
Im not sure what ud use now with the primer already on but I wiped the whole trailer down with acetone before the top coats. Like even the oil from ya finger prints come through.Picked up my trailer from the sand blaster dude.

Looking good, just wondering what they charged to sandblast the trailer. Thanks!
You are going to want to flip the PCV valve bud.
They only work correctly in the vertical plane.
