Don't get too wired over nailing down every data point in the fuel map. MEFI 1 will limit your fidelity. You and your motor won't care if cruise AFR is 13.1 or 12.8. It will be transparent other than what the gauge reads. If it was 10.3 or 14.0 at cruise I'd fix it. Have fun. Love hearing the progress.

After an exhausting 3 day work week, I decided it was best to take the girlfriends boat out tonight.






Ran 7 miles upriver from her place, to a bar called bullheads

The jack on the trailer used to squeal like a possessed high school girl.

Tore it down this morning. Found the source.


This is what was left of the bearing at the top of the jack.

I had a replacement here in the shop. 😉

Now like butter.

Next project is a new gimble bearing.

Seems the old bearing died because of a leak I had in my transom assembly. The grease fitting wasn't plugged. Oh well. It's not like I went to mercury school to learn this shit.

This lesson cost me a 90 dollar bearing and and 2 hours of my time.

New one installed.


Only takes a few minutes to pop the drive and steering stuff back together.

When I visited Dave last winter, I wanted to "schooled" on the whole "spray detailer" in a bottle.

I wiped the deck of his schiada with this stuff and was sold. Brought 4 bottles back home to cheeseland with me.

Glad I'm just about to the stage where all I have to do is clean the boat, instead of swapping motors, glass work, all that bullshit.

Just spent an hour cleaning schmoo off the sides of the hula, and she's lookin sexy as ever.

I served a carpentry apprenticeship starting back in 1998.
I completed that, and have been self employed since 2001.

In 2013, I started a spray foam and polyurea company, and haven't looked back.

2 years ago I started doing some consulting work for my material and equipment supplier.
