Last month I started the build of a new custom trailer for a new Schiada 24ft V-drive. Here are some photos of the build so far. I will update as I move forward with the build.

Keel support tacked in place. That small boxed in area will be the hidden storage compartment for the electric over hydraulic brake system covered with a billet polished aluminum plate.

That is a work of ART !

Love It !

Absolutely Bad Ass …

Questions -

Did you draw that up in cad ? Then build ?

Or
Just Wing it? Thinking about this / that at night when you’re supposed to be sleeping ….

The way I see the boat and trailer together - is it fits like a glove! The trailer is cradling the boat. It flows together !

The before on the blue trailer the boat is resting/ sitting on TOP of a trailer …

Nice touch on the rollers, I added those on our tournament boat trailer. I reworked the back of the trailer so I could countersink them in.
Factory was flat stock.

Beautiful Work.

Thank you!
It's all in my head and vision. I don't have Autocad or even a computer lol.
For lighting it will get frenched in taillights and clearance lights in the steps as well. Steps will have billet aluminum plates also. Trailer will also have chrome fenders and guide posts and the color will be black.

Thank you! I have seen some old trailers that have the flat stock hoop for a rudder gaurd that are ground down paper thin from all the years of dragging on the ground lol

This 100%
The flattie in my Avatar was that. It looked like a razor blade. I forgot I reworked that one also.

Again Beautiful Nice attention to detail.

Haha yeah and that is what is holding the back end of the trailer together. And some particular trailers that 1/4" flat bar hoop for a rudder gaurd is welded to 14ga sheetmetal steps 👎

I redid the rudder guard on the flattie with 3/8"x2" everywhere and integrated a couple of rollers on the back edge. I swear that thing is only a couple inches off the ground.

I'll stop the derail and follow the build.

Nice! My Howard trailer I built is slammed and only 2" off the ground to the rollers. It will drag everywhere but look cool 😄😎
