My work is at the 210/118 merger. Wind was blowing so bad the smoke and ash were filling the shop. Boss decided to shut it down. Headed down the 210 and it was like a war zone

KTLA has amazing coverage of the fires. Absolutely unreal how it’s covering large distances hopping from home to home randomly.

Really heartbreaking for these folks to only have minutes to leave. They’re not ready for it to cover a mile, or even miles, in such a short time.

The 5 is shut down in both directions at Rye Canyon / 126. Hopefully they are able to route you around it.

My wife and daughters are at my parents in Burbank and are supposed to be coming home tonight. I told her to just stay there for the night and not fight traffic with a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

my office is right at the 5 and 126. i sent everyone home couple hours ago

crazy. 5 is closed. Wind wont stop for 2 more days. Reminds me of the SD fire, 100000 plus acres. It had no path, just went everywhere. Im in SD, no wind here

My wife's uncle and his wife (in their 80's) just had to evac their home of 50+ years in the Shadow Hills area. Hope the best that they do not loose their home...

Me too. He worked for ABC and NBC as a scenic artist director and has a house full of memorabilia that has as much sentimental value as well as $$$$ value.

...Myself and a couple of neighbors drove up into Shadow Hills to help a friend evacuate his car collection when we got there he had already evacuated...called him on the phone and he said you’ve got to get out of there...but one thing he forgot to do is take the cloth car covers off the cars that had that kind of cover...so we went in and pulled all the cloth covers off and threw them out the middle of the yard away from the cars...His 27 car collection is worth a ton of money but he said they are all insured...His Ferrari and ‘58 Porsche Speedster are in the garage and he did want to get those out but there were five cars behind them...
While we were uncovering cars the flames were approximately 400 yards from his house and the firefighters were arriving in force...I hope it didnt reach him???...
