31000 acres and 0% containment.

New fire just popped up in Kagel Canyon too. This is not good, these winds are brutal.

Praying for everyone involved.

So sad, hard to see people loose everything so quickly. I hope people can stay safe.

78 wow, I live mid valley in Simi and would not be surprised if we have had a dozen 60mph plus gusts since 4am, I can't imagine what it is in the Santa Susana pass probably close to 80 as well

This, that Tujunga fire will burn through Porter Ranch into Simi and Calabasas on its way to the Pacific Ocean, and it will do all that by tomorrow morning if these winds keep blowing like this.

I live in the middle of the valley on the east end of Simi, am going to be cleaning my gutters this morning, especially now that all the leaves are out of the trees.

Tujunga (Creek Fire) through Porter Ranch into Simi and Calabasas to the Pacific Ocean would be catastrophic - beyond belief - rivaling this year's Wine Country fires. Very unlikely but anything's possible especially in these winds.

What your saying sounds a lot like what happened in 1970 with the merging of The Clampitt (Newhall) and Wright (Malibu) fires.

Several years ago a fire started on the east side of Porter Ranch 45min later it was at Topanga cyn. My scenario did happen in 83 burned to the 101 in Calabasas and to the what is now the 23 in Moorpark that fire started behind Porter Ranch, it did that in something like 30hrs.

I live on Valley Circle back by the cemetery. That fire burned right back behind the cemetery all the way to the beach.

The Sylmar fire is spreading pretty quickly. One of the guys in my vanpool lives at Hubbard and Gladstone. I encouraged him to stay home today but he declined and now hearing that his area is under mandatory evacuation orders.

Working ventura fire...Shit's CRAAAAAAAZY

Just read a special weather statement saying Relative Humidity Minimum 4 to 12 percent with poor overnight recovery and wind gust up to 60 MPH and up to 80 mph in the mountain areas going into Thursday. JFYI

yea, there's zero containment, getting non stop calls of residence's going up all over the foothill area. winds blowing like a mo-fo and is supposed to for next 2 days. Isn't looking good at all.

If you have ever been to Ventura, they're worried its going to make it to downtown main street.

My prayers go out to all. If you are in the path of the fire and feel you should evacuate, don't wait till the last minute. Know your route and possible alternate routes. These fast moving fires can overtake you quickly. Sorry that you all are having to go through this. Good luck to all!

To anyone nearby, please have a bag of essential items ready and a plan of action to evacuate if needed. My parents lost their house overnight in Ventura, above Foothill Rd.

If you’ve been watching the news coverage you likely saw it fully engulfed or smoldering this morning.

They had under 5 min from the time they woke up until pulling out of driveway. Just the family pet, clothes they threw on....and of course my Dad’s golf clubs lol

Stuff is all replaceable but tough to experience. Thoughts are with those families who’ve lost their homes and the brave men & women doing what they can to protect what’s left.

Not to make light of the situation, I grew up in the SFV and liven in Santa Barbara and know the area well, also have several friends in the area still that I will be checking on when Im off of work tonight.
