I agree I hate when cities mandate a minimum wage claiming cost of living in that area. If you want to live in an expensive area you gotta work for it flipping burgers is not a career job it's entry level for kids. People that say there aren't hi paying jobs go learn a trade they pay well work hard they will afford it then
I understand it for the elderly... could you get machine working a normal job in San Francisco your whole life living in a shitty 2 bedroom apartment only to have the hipsters buy up everything around you and now your rent is $3500 a month.
It’s a no win situation for a lot of people in this state. Not everyone had the same head start in life and the values have skyrocketed due to foreign/tech $$$ money and now you just have to leave the state you have lived your entire life.
We’re acting like it’s easy for the guy working the paint counter at Home Depot to just uproot his entire family to Oklahoma.
