Question for you guys, Do you balance your tires after they are mounted? I just ordered 5 rims (Method) and tires (Tensor) from KJ Motorsports ( free shipping, no tax, cheaper than Rocky Mountain ATV) and they mounted and shipped them but don't do balancing. If I need to balance, I plan on buying weights and a portable bubble wheel balancer.

Did you happen to have promo code for KJ motorsports?

Ya. Talk about over thinking it! Lol

So much information out there. Throttle is the reason I ended up with a SXS. He’s gone through several tire combinations and went back to a 30” tensor from a 31” BFG.

I’m following suit as we have the same car basically.

[emoji106] I think you made smart decision. Just because you can do the 32’s doesn’t really mean that you should. I am very confident that you will be pleased with the Tensor regulator in the 30” option. Mine wrap a method 15” beadlock.

I haven't seen these mentioned? Has anyone bought these, if not why not?? https://www.methodracewheels.com/products/401-r-utv-beadlock-raw-machined these seem like the perfect size and offset?

I mentioned them a while back. Super light but a little pricey.

RL mentioned them in the other thread. They only come in a 5” wide with “0” offset. They are $250.00 a piece and I didn’t like the way the tire looked on the wheels. They look super narrow like a Class 10 car.

At the end of the day I didn’t want to spend the money.

I run the Black 401’s with 31” Chicanes on my XP1K4. So far very happy. A great thing with running beadlocks on an 8 ply tire is you can air down to 10#-12# which really smooths out the ride. The added 4” width also helps a lot in the desert feels much more stable now.

That's my next tire. I have Tensors now, which are great. But the Chicanes are a pound light and an inch taller.

I believe I am doing the 401-R, 5 with 32's and a clutch kit. Just not sure on 30 or 32. Car builder the big E, Safari 2.0 "the real deal" says 32's.
Shock Therapy is calling me in the morning with their feed back, likely go with Barkers recommendation.

Cheap ass, your not going to buy the 15's for $50.20?

I went with the 15’s just thought the 14” package was a good deal.

The Method 401R wheel is forged. If you hit a rock hard it will bend, but you will still make it back to the trailer. All of the other Method wheels are cast and if you hit a rock hard they will explode. In my opinion, the forged wheels are the only way to go, plus they are a lot lighter.

[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]What backspacing does the 15x5 0 offset equate to?

Does the 401r come with a center cap?

Is a center cap necessary or beneficial on these or strictly cosmetic?

Those are the ones I told you to get. My basically...BIL has them with 32" tensors on his RZR turbo and they look really good...because the wheels are narrow the tires look thinner than they do on mine but still look great and it rides really good.

I know you did. i didn't like the price tag and the thinner look of the wheel/tire combo.

They look really good on the car in person and they work really well. Better than the ones you and I both have.

Well maybe I buy those and use these methods in the dunes down the road .

I wish I could’ve waited until the sand show and looked at cars...

Looks good Ham.

Side note, if you roll that thing over that fire extinguisher is the first thing to go.

Girls care about music, seats, and ride comfort. I just finished the ride comfort portion. My wife is super happy.

Did you go with 4/3 or 5/2 wheel ? By the way that sucker looks sharp

4/3 Wheel. They don’t make the 15” 401 Wheel in a 5/2.
Thank you!

It’s, Funny. The wife doesn’t want music in the Rzr, I thought for sure she’d want tunes. I did get her heated seats though. [emoji1303]
