Trans isn’t playing nice with new EFI so we are going to do a standalone trans controller. glad it got discovered on a quick shakedown and not in the dirt.

A lot of trans, that's good for an off road toy, I was afraid you had an AODE. Did it hurt the trans or is it too early to tell.

trans is good. it just decided to stop shifting and locked up the torque converter.

trans issue was mostly electrical. the old trans didn’t like talking to the new motor. so we did a standalone transmission controller since most of the electric mice are in the factory ECU.

had some issues with teams prior to new motor going in with it getting hot, trans cooler not working well, etc. so figured no better time to have the trans home through then after tripling the horsepower.

another tow truck ride to the teams shop to have it gone through and make it as bulletproof as possible.

Finally got to drive her today.

been a lot of little things popped up here and there. she’s on a break in tune and the new trans needs to break in as well but it’s a night and day difference with the new power and trans.

looking forward to the season.

When I saw the photo of the wiring in post #212, I thought "Damn! This Riverbound guy is talented as hell!"

All wiring has been traced and anything dead or not needed any more was removed. Everything is tagged and cleaned up and now all the dash panels can be removed with connectors for easier service. There have been a few hands in here so it’s nice to get it cleaned up once and for all.

Had a good new years trip with the snowball Bronco.

The new motor is healthy. Doing the break in and some tubing but what a difference with the new power shock tuning and fuel cell is next on the list. We are getting some aeration with the new power and trying to use the stock fuel tank.

Off to Parker this weekend to put some miles on her. So far so good. Had a few tweaks to things but as we put more miles on her she gets better and better.

Ran good all weekend. Put some miles on her and even rested out the 4wd in a sand hill. It works. .

Definitely enjoying the new power and torque. Having an issues with the stick fuel tank and fuel sloshing so a fuel cell is happening next.
