About half the winners autodraft, while half pick and choose players. I don't think there's a huge advantage to picking players versus using the auto rankings. The Yahoo! rankings are pretty good, plus you can still go in and change the rankings.

I had to choose an arbitrary date for the draft, but it's not set in stone.
It's currently Wed, Aug 18, 7:30pm PDT. I have no problem changing it based on feedback. We'll never get 100% agreement on a date, but hopefully we can find a date that works for most.

I plan to be at the river (Day 1), so I may need to use the auto draft feature (which works for me).

Autodraft teams win about half the time, so I wouldn't worry about it.

IMO, it is better to have everyone pay up front. It just keeps things simpler. I've been down this road before.

Don't they have online league safe's....I don't mind paypal...but I was in a league that used a safe you paid into and it seemed less headache for the commish.

At least in this one, I see that they have a Dues section. Not too sure if they accept the money into Yahoo or not but, at least that way you could see who and who hasnt.

I agree 110%!!!

I commish a league every year for family and a few friends and honestly it's a PITA to get everyone to pay. If the season starts and they aren't doing any good they definitely won't pay then.

I think it's a must that EVERYONE pays up front.

- Points will break all ties
- Regular Season: NFL Weeks 1 - 13
- Top 8 teams at NFL Week 13 advance to Fantasy Playoffs
- Playoffs: NFL Weeks 14 - 16. Winner decided in Week 16.
- Standard scoring plus bonus for milestones (e.g. 100 rush yards, 350 pass yards, shit like that for players that have great games)

I am assuming that is how many we can play, not draft....please clarify...

I like the size of the on-the-field team...

On the draft date...I will be traveling that week....I will try and be present...but if not I will autodraft...I doubt my opponents will draft much better than the yahoo computer. (the shit talking starts already)...

For you newbies, I suggest clicking "Draft Central" then "Draft Kit". Download the Fantasy Guru Full Draft Kit PDF, it has a ton of good info on how you should draft.

Just remember:
You can't draft too many kickers, and you can't draft them too soon :skull
