"B" it is!
Bench will be expanded to include 4 total players.
This should help us cover the bye week, as well as leave some good players on waivers (undrafted).

For the newbs:

Roster positions are your players that you start on any given week. You get to start the following (number) of players per position:
(1) Quarterback / QB
(2) Running Backs / RB
(2) Wide Receivers / WR
(1) Flex (WR/TE/RB) - see below
(1) Kicker / K
(1) Team Defense / D - see below

The system will not let you start a player for a position he doesn't play, so you can't have Peyton Manning as your kicker, for example.

The Flex position can be either a WR, RB or Tight End/TE.

The Team Defense is just that - you pick an entire team's defense, and their performance on the field scores points for you.

Now let's talk about the bench:
We get to draft (4) Bench players. These guys can be any position, player or defense you want. You can choose to play them on any given week, or they can just sit. Players on the bench do not earn points...they have to fill a position to earn points.

Fantasy Football is all about matchups. The bench helps you here. For example, a player may have a bad matchup for a given week, but a bench player for that position may have a better matchup.

Can I set it for autodraft but still log on and watch the process? I highly doubt I will be able to pick better. How do I do that? I have been looking and downloaded the draft kit but I don't know what to do next. Help? :D

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't have to do anything.

If you don't make a selection during your allotted time, the computer will pick for you.

PBK is correct.
You get 2 minutes to make a pick.
If time runs out, the systems make your selection for you.
So really, you can autodraft some players, and pick others manually.

It's an easy, intuitive interface that Yahoo uses. Super user friendly...even for chicks :skull

Auntie,

Rank your players first, place a bunch of kickers high as they are gteed to score every game, plus they pull their hamstrings a lot so you want at least 2-3 kickers on your roster. Good luck!

If I'm not mistaken you can set it so it knows that you aren't there and it will auto pick for you. If you don't, if will assume you are there and take the whole 2 minutes each time it's your turn. This makes the draft take FOREVER.

Hopefully, if you can't be there everyone sets it to auto so the rest of us don't have to wait each time.

If you find that let me know because I haven't seen that setting anywhere. Although I will be there.

I don't even know how to claim it...says I don't have any transactions in the last month. SEveral months, actually.

Strange, I've never had this happen before.

Let me send customer service an email to see what's up.

hmmm the email was correct, right? I don't know. It should have sent you an email anyway. Maybe I can cancel it and resend. I didn't put "for products" for anything. Do you think that matters? I have been using Paypal since the 1990s I think.

For you newbies, I suggest clicking "Draft Central" then "Draft Kit". Download the Fantasy Guru Full Draft Kit PDF, it has a ton of good info on how you should draft.

Just remember:
You can't draft too many kickers, and you can't draft them too soon :skull

:D that just aint right!
