Got the harmonic and crank trigger on and set up. Started the wiring diagram for the msd 7 programmable, progressive nitrous controller and the us quick shift 4 and trans brake. I'm a dinosaur and trying not screw up. Trans brake is switched ground and everything else is switched positive. Trying to figure out a another solution other than a 2 pole single throw switch. Haven't found a switch of that type I can steering wheel mount.

I have a relay board. I'm trying to wrap my head around adding another separate relay for switched ground. I'm open to any suggestions bro. I've got the progressive controller ready to go in.

All my relays on my board are switched positive. Should have ordered the leash board with a switched ground but until I started looking at my trans instructions I didn't know my brake on the 4l80e was different than my old 400.

Spent the day at our So. Cal. storage unit packing all the loose crap in boxes and bins. Although we got rid of 80% of our stuff when we moved early last year, it amazes me how much we still have left. Moving it all to Havasu next weekend.

Thinking about having a garage sale the Saturday after Thanksgiving to further reduce the pile. It truly is liberating to divest yourself of too much stuff. House and garage will be next.

Had to add another one. I didn't see a way to use the board.
are these Bosch relays? 87 and 87a give you choice of normally open or closed. The board you have makes you put power in, without a choice of terminal?

Yes it is designed that way I called the guy that makes the board. Nitrous Dave. Power only no switched ground.

Should have gone with the board from leash electronics. Adding another separate relay isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

@ChrisV can chime in. I had bb Blasted the shit out of everything. It was the bottom and top bolt. He got it with a long swivel. But he can contortion into small areas. He poped in there, got that swivel on. Found leverage and pop went the son of bitch. Before I knew it, one was out and pop again, and went number 2. Didn't break any. Wooo! Its up and running now. I can see in the valley. Good news. Pump isn't leaking. Bad news. I still have no idea where that leak was. Good news, it's nothing major that I can tell. Nothing is obvious at this time.

Plan, now that I can see, is to degrease everything and pressure wash it. Keep an eye on everything.

I did a fun lap without connecting the down pipe to the rest of the piping.

27 year old brass hose bibs on the house doing good.

3 year old China brass hose bib/swamp cooler connection grenades.
Changed that out.

More green on the Sloap than it looks. Sprayed with Round Up.
Round up works but not as good as it used to.

We do our taxes as soon as we get our W2’s. Since March still dealing with the IRS mistakes the IRS made and mistakes SS made.

IRS now wants $2800, SS sending $3600 but that’ll change.

So it was back to the CPA once again.

Maybe 300 homes in the greater set of tracs around us and two of us still
Mow our own lawns.

All these “as seen on TV” sharpeners are junk. I use the steak knife sharpener on the mower blades,, excellent results.

Got all the off roading stock out and ran them around the block several times.
Good idea to exercise them and the generators. Get the stale gas flowing and freshen it all up.

Freaking kinked hose! So the hose with the kit kinked up to the heater hose. Moved it around a bit. I know how to make it work better. But for now, we have heat again!

Oil change, and get that v band to the turbo and down pipe. That has proven to kind of be a pain.

Also going to make a spacer for the crank trigger. Has spacers but they space the bracket off the motor plate and I don't like the way it looked with the gap between the motor plate so I am going make a clean little spacer for it.

Haven't bought a management system. I'm using an msd 7531 with a progressive controller and us quick shift controller for my trans. I really wanted to go to the holley system or haltec or something but honest truth I am not a tuner and mostly a dinosaur. If I had someone to walk me through setting it up and help tune for a while I would probably do it.

Who’s tuning the car? If you haven’t picked a tuner, I highly recommend this guy name Tom. Tuned many quick cars in SoCal.

I'm familiar tuning the msd digital Not great but familiar. My buddy Chuck Robert's is a genius with nitrous and a progressive controller. The us quick shift isn't terribly hard. I would love to ditch all of it for 1 system. Holley terminator probably but I know shit about tuning it.

Just measured and ordered pushrods. 16 trend pushrods 550 with shipping 🤑 7/16 to 3/8 taper .165 wall chrome moly should be stout enough for my junk.
We always ordered extra pushrods just in case. Saved us a few times!

Welded up a new driveway gate for the house a couple of months ago. The thing of course flash rusted immediately since I couldn't get it to powdercoat right away. Larry at Specialized Coatings in HB did a great job of it tho. Slapped in some vinyl planks from Lowes and its all together👌

I would listen to this guy.

This is my favorite thread. Everyone wrenching and building stuff.
I'm no mechanic, not even close. I wear a suit for a living. But, I've always loved turning wrenches. Now that it's done. I feel great that I did it.

During, I asked why I do this to myself.

Oh I know he is on point with that. I just hate paying someone else to tune my stuff. With what I have and a little help from a couple friends I can run really hard. I just have 3 separate devices to tune. I would love to have to plug into just one. Been reading up on the Holley stuff. Maybe one day I will come out of the dark ages. Hell my progressive nitrous controller is a baby step 😂 so is the programmable msd. Been running a 7al3 and a micro switch for years.

This is a result of letting an engine sit for years after using ethonal gas. All the intake valves were stuck. I bent the pushrods back to test the engine. It runs smooth. Now to find some new pushrods. I hit the valves with a 2lb. sledge hammer and sprayed the valve stems with kerosene to loosen them up. Had to work each one for about 5 minutes.
