I just checked the RDP World Planning Calendar and find no posting of this event...............WTF?
I'm in with a 2 wheeler. Besides Tom (PT) anyone else with a bike?
So the hard date is jan 18-19?
Anyone want to do the camp out in the desert deal again like years past?
Has the RDP camp out been combined with this desert bar run?

Not sure... hopefully Dave will chime in. I think it would be great to combine it. The more the merrier.
We can't do the camp part, as out trailer is at the river... we'll be there though, even if we have to get a hotel room. :thumbsup
My buddy Will l rents trailers for cheap and he will drop them on site for you if you want to stay the night..

How remote/rugged is the camp site? Is it 40' class A moho accessible?
I kind of want in on this, it's a hell of a commute though ! The last one was a blast ! It was my first RDP gathering. Rich had the strobe lights going, it was sweet !
Whats the cost Friday and Saturday night? My buddy Will l rents trailers for cheap and he will drop them on site for you if you want to stay the night..

Anyone else bringing bikes to this deal?
Brian, last one I went to, the camping site was about 500 yards off of Shea Rd (just past the Chevy Dealership on the way out of town (toward Phoenix). RD promises to make it closer to Shea road as Hank's buddy & AJ both had to be towed out. My 35' pusher only made it out cause I waited for the tow trucks to clear the area and stayed in the throttle even through some woops (tow truck driver waited to see if I was going to make it out and told me that he'd never seen a pusher get 'air' under the fronts).
I'll go again but want to be closer to Shea road so RD can tow me out......
Coming in from CA, cross the bridge, stay straight at 95, pass Parker-Poston Rd, pass Chevy dealer left on Shea then out about 5 miles or so.

There is some flat spots just up and on the other side of Shea rd that are hard pack and big enough for the wagon train.
Sounds good.
You know I am Maybe Dane.
I may have to crash this party.
Awesome! I planned on talking to you about it a Glamis.
Dave any word on pricing from your buddy that rents trailers? I'd be interested in one for the weekend in question. how big are they how many people will they sleep? need some info please. I have a place in town to stay at but would rather camp out and party and not have to drive back into town.
You bringing some peanut butter cup pudding shooters?
You know it! :thumbsup
Ok I may need some help. I have a rack for my bike for the rear of the Motorhome. But since my son is coming too. I would need to tow the enclosed trailer just for 2 bikes unless anyone from the El Monte area can bring one bike for us... Was going to bring them in the truck and stay at the house, but camping sounds fun

Or locate another rack and we can stick it in my moho receiver for the trip out and back.
<<<< In Whittier, not far from you.

So who's camping? And who's just going to the Desert Bar on Saturday?
Daytona Babe, we are more then likely going to camp, but if you don't want to camp you're more then welcome to stay at my pad.

Dave I'm down to rent a trailer also but that site say's no two day rentals on Holiday weekends, That Monday is MLK day and I have to be back for work, was just wanting the trailer for Fri and Sat nights. Can ya pull any strings?I will talk to Will when it gets a little closer on the drop off spot.. But basically out Shea Rd, just past Osborne wash on the right.

Thanks for the offer, Dave - very kind of you. I talked to James about it last night and we are both down to camp since the whole delivery of the trailer deal sounds easy enough. I'll just need some directions or a specific spot to tell them where to take it. I wish we could just bring our 5th wheel, but that would just be a pain in the ass. Much easier this way and that way we get to be around for the whole thing. :thumbsup
