Joe after you told me that on the first stop i tried to use the navigation on my Vessel View. Problem was it was so bright being in the dark it fucked my actual vision up. I could have navigated by the display but was scared out of my mind so i shut it off haha. Almost went blind
I had a blast! and a great time meeting more RDP Inmates, and partying! the Lobster and steak were great too! the moonlit run was beautiful and we have some footage of the boats going thru the gorge from aerial drone. gonna be great once we upload it! we got back to the rental house at almost 2:45am, and then up at 10, and on the water down in Parker by noon, had great time til about 5 then left, and my nightmare drive home began near Ehrenberg with a flat trailer tire, no problem installed the spare in less than 10 minutes, drove through Blythe and headed West on the 10, and wouldn't you know it, 9 miles from Chiriaco summit, I lost the spare...7:45pm...drove to Indio and spent 4 hours taking a shredded tire of a rim, and installing a wal mart spare....finally aired it up at the TA truck center, and headed back to the boat, installed spare again with new tire...made in to palm desert, hit more crappy road, and yep....BNAG! tire #3 went out....I said fuck it, it was now 2:40 in the morning, my family and GF were exhausted as was I, I left my friend at the boat with my youngest, and headed home to try to sleep for 4 hours and then go to work. My Buddy Justin stayed with the boat til daylight in front of the CHP office in Palm Desert, (not a good idea, he was Harassed by 2 CHP officers that said they would have him towed? what the hell happened to serving and protecting?) anyway, he was able to get the last tire mounted and got to the goodyear center for the last 2 tires..so almost $700 extra for fuel, food, and 5 new tires later, I have learned a trailer lesson, and I of all people being a Tech should know better! and I still am looking forward to the next trip, and will be doing some work on the ol' trailer before hand! As for the boating part of it, it was awesome and the boat at least worked flawlessly! the night run was the best! loved every minute, and felt like we were spoiled with the weather, and the amount of time on the water! cant wait for the next time! and thanks to RDP for all the great memories and fun! :thumbsup:thumbsup
You can't see when it's light out

We put the cover on the vessel view screen because the bright light was distracting.

We are hopefully going to Parker for Labor day, and taking the drone to do more fun videos. I am impressed for only the second time Justin was using that thing, the video came out pretty damn well. I am bummed I did not get introduced to more people at the party. next time gang!
whens the next full moon??
