Questions about Living in Bullhead/Mohave

If you like to sit on your patio that area has the worst wind year round.Try desert lakes by the gulf coarse.

Had plans for a lower river weekend at Fishers with some friends but plans fell through so I'm headed down for some recon and some house hunting (Bullhead/Ft Mohave) in the next few weeks...... RD, I guess I need your RE contact sooner than I thought....asap. I plan on spending a few days in Laughlin/Bullhead and then check out Pirates Cove (it's been awhile). Any suggestions on where to stay that's kind of in between and decent? Plan on doing some drinking so don't want to drive... and it's Cinco De Mayo weekend.... any suggestions? I don't trust YELP, I trust RDP lol. Haven't been to Laughlin/Needles area in a few years and I'm only familiar with the Havasu and the Yuma area ........

The Avi is a good central location if you plan to look around Fort Mohave and Bullhead.

Summits River Realty is big in that area. Bill and Christine Summit have been there forever.

I agree Summit is good for the Mohave/Willow Valley area. FYI Bill Died last month

This is a great thread.......It really goes to show that more and more people are looking to retire and or raise their families in more affordable locations. Singleton posted early on that having time with your family and the ability to do outside things together daily truly improve the quality of life whether that be in Bullhead/Mohave, Havasu or Parker. Each has their own pluses and minuses. Bullhead/Laughlin has advantages and the proximity to Vegas is also beneficial. I don't think you can go wrong just find a professional who can point you in the right direction and don't look back!!

Best of luck and give yourself a pat on the back for putting family first!!

Hey , I conversation with you on phone when you thought the making the move to BHC glad that you made the change where did end up getting a at house at ? maybe we meet up sometime for a day out on Lake Mohave.

We are in Fort Mohave. That sounds great. I will get a hold of you next week and we can make a plan.

Thanks, will keep you in mind! I did talk to one of the DOT wives that transferred out there and she did mention she HATES the wind

I've owned in ft. Mohave sence '05. When I lived there full time, 09-14 I worked with KeyTime reality. Good people who know Bullhead well, owner draws and builds custom homes throughout the valley. They are on hancock, by lakeside.

If you have some time when you come out to BHC it would be nice to try and meet up, I would like to get some info on DOT from a person that is employed there. I might go with my wife next week as she is doing the CPR and Frist Aid training there and walk the warehouse as they're going to give her a tour .

It will just be my sister and I on this trip but we will let you know when hubby and I can make the trip together. He says if you take the tour (and it's well worth it if you are the least bit interested) ask for Todd Wenger, the Transportation Manager or Michael in HR and tell them Rory Murphy said to give you the GRAND TOUR and they would be happy to answer any questions you may have
