Hubby is a Trainer for DOT and has been offered a job in Bullhead. We are seriously considering the move and getting the hell out of California. The new DC is super nice and is a 190,200 square feet on 55 acres. They officially opened last week. They expect to hire approx 175 new employees within the first year and 170 by 2020. I see there are mixed feelings in this thread about the growth, traffic etc but I can tell you, there isn't a better company for the area. Excellent company to work for and they are huge in their surrounding communities and donate tons of money to the local schools, charities etc. Here are some shots of the inside of the business side of the new buildings. I thought it was cool how they named all the conference rooms
Dot is going to have a open house for the public to tour the facility on sat .

Driver Trainer
I would do it but live in Fort Mohave or in the valley don't live in Bullhead.
We are talking about taking a trip and checking out the Real Estate situation. Fort Mojave is def first choice. I'm all for it, ready to get back to the desert and out of California.

That looks like a DOT truck in your profile pic :)

Mexicans in Az keep a low profile..lol And we can carry guns!
I've owned a 2nd home in Havasu for over 30 years. I know all about the AZ Mexicans and about the gun laws. I also know about the low wages in AZ.

Congrats on the move Her454...

If you don't find what you like near Bullhead. Many live in Havasu and make the easy drive to Bullhead.
MY wife did that for five years 126 miles for a round trip , she on staff in the ER at WRMC we just made the move to BHC the drive was getting to be much after 12hrs in the ER now I make the drive to LHC but cut back to driving only every other weekend hauling plastic for Sterilite .

I’m not sure I could tell the difference between the two and I’m there twice a month. Lol... There are nice areas of both IMO.

I have the perfect house for your move. Haven’t listed it yet as we are finishing a few things out front and then 82Daytona is doing the counters in both bathrooms. 1800sqft good sized 3 car garage on an acre with curb appeal like crazy 340k private sale I’ll pay up to 20k in closing etc.

A railcar a day or so , they use clear plastic and hipp plastic which is a white plastic the plant has 8 silos each one has the capacity to hold one railcar .

Cool, we have a spur that holds 5 rail cars and 14 silos that can hold 1.2m lbs.
LLDPE and PP

Beautiful place but we are not that far along yet. :) I'm hesitant on selling the Calif house but want out of the state. I want to go check out all of the areas around Bullhead and see what's out there but a pool is a must. If we decide to make the move it will be within the next year, not anything soon.

I don't do OTR and I want weekends free , well most weekends. Lol [emoji6] [emoji202]

Hubby didn't do OTR and is off most all weekends. DOT has the Alternative work week schedule too for their drivers. And yes, they need drivers in Bullhead for sure.

Look up on the parkway. You'll find some nice places but you'll also have more wind than down in Fort Mohave area. There are some great looking RV homes being built in Bullhead. I'll look for the address this weekend.

DOT has u tube videos that give a detailed description what their drivers do on deliveries and what is required, also talks about work days and time away from home , DOT is a progressive place they want you to know what is up before you sign up .

If I remember correctly, that's where a lot of the DOT people are living that have transferred in from out of state.

If you like to sit on your patio that area has the worst wind year round.Try desert lakes by the gulf coarse.
