Going to introduce Holly to boating today. She is very calm so I don't expect any issues, but I have never taken a dog on a boat.

Well she did great. Took about 10 min for her to get use to the boat and then went around checking (smelling) the boat. Then we went to a dog friendly restaurant and she did pretty good there. 5 dogs on the patio and after a couple of min laid down. Took her to snake island and she ran around. A little trouble getting her back in the boat. She swam to the back ladder, but wife couldn't get her up and holly started to get a little worked up. I just leaned down and grabber her vest and lifted her in. How do you all get them in and out while on the water?

Same way.

Thought about buying the inflatable doggie ramp you hang off the back, but it's too cumbersome and takes up a lot of room. I think there may also be steps you can buy that may slide into the ladder slot?

We took our 80lb Mastiff out a couple times and I had to get into the water and hoist her up there. Another time she fell into the marina in between the boat and dock, had to grab her between each front leg/shoulder and chest and lift her back on in desperation.

Something along these lines, but obviously lesser / more manageable. they make inflatable ones.

My Rottweiler Bella is in heat. My Golden Retriever Murphy is an intact male. Lots of fun keeping them apart for the next month. Not!!! Murphy is getting fixed next Monday. The soonest the vet had an opening.

Thru the years we noticed our dogs first reaction to being on a boat said it all. First our rescued Bassett Hound - he wanted no part of it. Next - our large rescued Golden Retriever - He put up with riding in the boat. But, preferred just swimming. Last - our female Newfoundland. She first walked onto the boat like she owned it. Looked around and claimed a few “her spots”. She loved the boat and the swimming. Don’t believe we ever boated without her for the entire 12.5 years we had her.

Holly was a little nervous. I pretty much stayed at idle speed to let her get use to it. She seamed to like the wind in her face. Then she got up and checked out the whole boat. After she sat back down with the wife I started adding speed. She seamed to like it. Had some bigger boat come past us and had some decent rollers. Didn't bother her. We have had red tide here, so haven't been back out. I have never had a boat dog, but I have the feeling she will love it.

Costco has a supplement grind it down and put it the food with a crushed toast for calcium

We have had great results with this CBD oil for our dog that was having seizures. The medicine the vet wanted to put her on would have shortened her lifespan and she could never go off of it. We decided to try this first and she hasn’t had a seizure since. We put our elderly dog on the join support CBD just because and she made it to 16.5 years old.

I’ve been considering this for our shepherd who is having some arthritis issues. Any side effects ?

Ziggy - just past 7 months now. Working out some behavioral (rough with smaller dogs) items at the moment. Just graduated Behavioral training but not allowed to attend one of our boarding places just yet. He plays too rough.

He's also really bitey, high energy, rough play. Sweet dog otherwise.

46lbs - looks like he may gain another 5# by my estimates.

Measured Xena and she is the size height wise of a full grown F Bully XL.....somewhere in the 90+ lbs ranges so thats on the top scale as well. She isn't a year old till the end of May :)

She is turning out to be a very good pup. Is food driven for sure. Still bowing down to Phx and I hope it stays that way. I did have to break up a fight between them over a bone. My bad as I put that scenario in play. The little one Ranger and her get along very well although they both get rough at times. Have some shock collars now that I use to tone them down a bit when needed. Usually only have to user the vibrate node and they knock it off.

She watches the property quite intently and uses her prescence more than verbal although she will bark.....and its a big dogs bark for sure.

I am pretty happy with her and may be taking her to Sturgis with me in July-Aug. We shall see.
