This is Remington as well, aka Remy. He was surrendered to the SPCA, picked up the the local GS Rescue. Was adopted and returned, ran away from the foster parent and found living at an abandoned house, all before he was 3. We got him 3 years ago and he is the best mannered, obedient, friendly, etc, etc. All he wants to do is hang with his folks. At home he lives with 2 cats and all they do is pull each others chains. 8 hour road trips, sleeps until we stop for gas/food, jumps back in and back to sleep. Head pops up every hour or so, looks around, back down.

A couple of my old hounds. The first one is Pepper. (never mind the cat) I got Pepper from the Arizona Dept of Corrections, where she had been trained and used to track escaped inmates. When DOC was cutting costs, and escapes becoming few and far between, they offered up some of their hounds for adoption. Pepper and I cross trained for Search and Rescue and lost person tracking. We had three successful finds, and several cases to confirm direction of travel of suspects or victims, including a missing person/homicide case from the Bill Williams Bridge area. She was also trained in Marine Search and Rescue and could sniff out drowning victims and dead bodies.

The second two pictures are of Pepper's son, Sampson. Two of Sampson's siblings went to Yavapai County, AZ and Baker County, OR to be used as Search K9s. We had intended to train Sampson, but he ended up just being a pet. We loved our Bloodhounds, but as we got older, at 120 - 130 lbs, they got a little too much for us to handle. So we downsized to Bassets.

Not sure about her new swim suit….she is only 10 months old….can’t swim at all yet…. View attachment 1016286

We lost out Boxer two years ago she was 11. The first time I took her to the river I think she was maybe 3months old and I just assumed dogs new how to dog paddle and tossed her over the side to swim to the beach. well she dindt swim infact she sank straight to the bottom. Now this was only in like 3 feet of water but needless to say I immediately jumped in and got her. I held her at the top of the water with her chest/stomach resting in my hands and she just started dog paddling and that was it. She had it from then on. Best dog I have ever had. we are looking at getting another one finally. Let me know if you know anyone selling pups.
